Rain pored around us, but we soon found a cave. I was shivering, so Richard lent me his vest.
"Thanks," I say, "shall we light a fire?" I ask. Then felt ashamed, of corse we would light a fire, but then, what with?
"We can't, all the wood is soaked." Richard said, I look at him apologetically. Suddenly our eyes meet, we gaze for a long time, then we broke the gaze and Richard clears his throat
"So," he says awkwardly, "do you know what this quest is about?" That's when I came to the shocking realisation that I actually had no idea.
"I must admit," I say, "I have no clue." Richard nods his head,
"It was to find out how the great wizard Zedicous came to pass, but," his eyes filled with tiers and his voice became angry, "But now it's to find out WHO sent that grentch to kill Kalen!" His voice trembled,
"Who?" I ask, a slight fear rising through me, if Richard found out it was me, he would kill me, literally.
"The grentch had a collar made of hard iron chain, so it must be some ones pet." He spat. My eyes widened, I'd never seen the seeker this angry, now I was scared.
I crawl over to where he's sitting,
"I know how you feel," I say, "About loosing some one close." He looks at me with a look of slight depression.
"I had a daughter, she was only five, when bandits attack our village, my husband bared the door and put all his wait against it, 'Hide' he whispered to me. I grabbed Kia and hid in a corner hugging her tightly." My eyes started to water as a talked about it, "Kia, is my daughter, but, while I was a hiding an arched sword stabbed through the window and slit my husbands throat, I gave a small scream, it was quiet but the men outside heard. They rushed in and grabbed Kia out of my grasp, then before my very eyes., they, they stabbed her in the back of her head the tip of the knife sticking out of her forehead. I'm not sure why, but they just walked out and left me to sit beside my lifeless daughter." I finish I begin to cry softly. Richard came over to me and rested my head on his shoulder,
"Cry, " he said, "Cry all you want."
