Something oppressive

"Explain to me, one last time, why we have to go there?"

"Isn't that already obvious, Hookfang?

Hookfang, who sat by the wheel of the vehicle they were traveling by, narrowed his eyes, irritated. "No, and honestly, I would change direction, as long as we got a chance to do so," he glanced at Sarah in the passager's seat, checking herself in the car's window. "What will you say about fries?"

"I'm on a diet, that's first," Stormfly gazed at him, frowning. "Secondly, don't you think it's time, already?" She hummed, questioning and loudly. "I mean, to visit them, talk with them, ask how they are," she impacted her hand into his elbow, causing him to lose control of the car, momentarily. "Anything, James!"

Slowing down his heartbeat by inhaling, Hookfang avoided her sight, offended. "I'm just reminding you that he told us to leave them alone, didn't he?" He snorted and muttered. "As always, anyway."

"Exactly! As always! Since when you're worried about what he's asking for? Normally, you would burst inside his home without bother," she furrowed at him, concerned. "What changed?"

"Isn't that obvious?" James sighed, tightening his grip on the wheel. "Tobias became a father."

"And?"

"And I don't know how should I behave, now," he crooned, soundly. "I feel things between us modified."

"You are scared of what?" Stormfly scoffed, raising her brow. "That he turned into a completely another person?"

"Most probably. Also, I don't know much about children and I am the godfather of one. Of course, I could refuse when he asked if I wanted to be one, but could I really?" He cocked his brows at her, and she walked, defeated. "It's a great honor, but the problem is I don't know what to do with it," he stopped the car in the parking lot and resisted his head at the wheel, accidentally honking, momentarily.

Shaking her head obviously and grinning, Sarah leaned her forehead on his shoulder. "Listen to me very clearly, babe. It's a good thing you're stressed because it shows that you care," she hugged his arm, while he peeked at her, focused. "Don't worry about it so much. It's not your job to take care of him, but to support them, occasionally."

"Support?"

"You know, once in a while, maybe buy him groceries, or maybe guard Henry's asleep," she giggled, making circles on his tensed palm, loosening it. "I doubt that Tobias would let take care of Hiccup someone other than himself," she softened when Hookfang chuckled. "Anyway, don't trouble yourself about his attitude. Toothless has always been that cold, hard guy, for which we love him, so I disbelieve it can't be worse than it's now."

Nodding, James embraced her momentarily, before messing her hair and running away from her outside the car as fast as he could. In the meantime, she furrowed at him, closed a vehicle, and hurried after him, cursing him, soundly. Eventually, they were climbing the stairs of the building, and Sarah jumped with excitement.

"I can't wait to see that cutie pie's face!"

"I mean sure, Tobias may be handsome, but cute?" Hookfang snickered, squirming his eyes at Stormfly. "I question that."

"I was referring to Hiccup," she groaned and straightened. "I wonder, how much hair he has, or what's the color of his eyes?"

"Aren't they black? I can swear he had black ones."

"That's shocking, but they don't have to be," she smirked at him, raising her chin. "We discussed that with Meatlug, and find out that infants' eyes gain color about the second, or third month. It means his eyes were black, but now, they may be even blue!"
