Hey guys, I'm so sorry it took me so long to upthis book.
Lots been happening and I did have writer block for a bit too.
Also a note before I start, I'm going to be calling my oc Night to for the remainder of the book.
With that out of the way, hope you enjoy.
Night's pov.
I stayed off to the side as the king and queen took my words in. All knowing full well of my gifts, also knew to heed my words and the spirits. I watched as the queen ordered her daughter to train the stranger their ways. I of course was going to over see them at all times. After that, she took him out of my sight, my eyes staying on him. "Night Watcher, if you remain here, you'll obey our ways. Are we understood?" I turned my attention to the queen as she stepped closer to me.
Quickwind growled lowly but she went silent as soon as I raised my hand. "Of course." I lowered my head in slight respect, even with Quickwind at my side, we were outnumbered. "Good." She and the king left and I turned as I was approached by the same male that was so ready to kill the one I was to protect. He stood taller than I but I showed no fear as he towered over me.
"Know this, I will be watching you 'outcast', one wrong move and I won't hesitate to end your life." He threatened, I kept a blank look as he spoke. "Very well." I turned slightly as I hopped onto Quickwinds back. She growled and roared lightly to clear her path. I looked back to him as I connected with her, my tail swaying as I straightened up. "Just because you're future leader, does not mean I fear you. Nor will I be intimidated by a mere male." With that Quickwind dashed out of home tree.
After we were a good ways away, she stopped and let me off. "Thank you, old friend. Go rest, we go back at sun up." I said gently as I moved and gently rubbed her head. She purred soft before turning and going off. I watched her leave before sighing and climbing up into the trees. Where I stayed for the night, only awaking the next morning to Quickwind hitting the tree.
We both made our way back and found the stranger and the queens daughter. I sent Quickwind away so she didn't spook the horse like creatures. I watched from the side as she was teaching about the bond we share when connecting with every creature. I huffed a chuckle as he was quickly kicked off the horse. I stepped out as the horse ran my way. I lifted my hand as the horse jogged to me and stopped as it pushed its snout against my palm.
"Shhhh give him time. He will learn." I spoke softly and smiled as the horse huffed and stomped a bit. I gently guided her back over to the stranger. Tho rolled my eyes the male from last night had come back. They turned to me as I came over to stand next to the horse still. "Why ate you here?" He hissed towards me as he turned his horse towards me.
"To protect him from threats like you." I looked to his horse and clicked my tongue and motioned for it to leave. Of course the horses the were on listened to my orders and turned to leave. Ignoring the Na'vi's orders as they left. I smirked as I waved slightly only pissing the male off. I turned to the stranger as he was staring at me, I moved as I gave him the horse. "You must learn to respect every living being, especially the ones that can hurt and kill you." I spoke but he just gave a confused look.
I sighed deeply as I realized he didn't know our native language. 'This is certainly will be a challenge.' I thought as I continued to watch the two.
I hoped you guys liked it.
