The wind felt cool against my skin. I want to go to sleep but I fight it.

I was to excited to sleep, yet I still felt sad too I wanted to go back to my old home not this new one. My mom said it would be a good idea to start somewhere new after everything that happened with my dad.

"Trust me as soon as you get settled in you'll feel great and maybe you can make new friends here while your at it." Mom always looked on the bright side of things it was her talent to always stay optimistic about new things no matter how terrible they could get.

I said nothing but give her a weak smile, me and my mom always were close until my dad came back into the picture. He left when I was 8 then came back after he realized he needed money.

My dad wasn't abusive or would hit me he would just ignore me he wouldn't talk to me if mom wasn't there with us. He would give me money to shut up and not talk sometime but i didn't mind, money was money after all.

"Mom it's been a couple of hours how much longer, my butts starting to get flat." I said with a smile trying to lighten the mood. Mom laughed " about just one more hour don't worry" mom was always good at being social so I doubt it would take long for her to make friends.

Me on the other hand not so much, this was our first time moving somewhere this far before  we moved place to place a lot but we were always near our old homes but this was a huge jump.

"Your going to love it, it's going to be fun and trust me it will be" mom said with a smile. Me and my mom are close but when dad came back things changed a lot. She would work more and spend less time with me and I would close myself off from a lot of my family.

But as soon as mom started talking about moving when dad left again i was more open about my feelings and thoughts.

But that's all behind me now I'm going to change and make more friends. Honestly I hope things go smoothly.

-————One hour later in the car————

I look at the new house while me and my mom take out our moving boxes. I begin to stretch my legs and arms "I call a room on the second floor!" I yell at my mom. My mom got a two story house near a forest because she knows I love the outdoors.

I ran up the stairs looking at rooms running from door to door. I smiled at a spacious room. " I call this one!" I yelled, my mom walked up the stairs.

"You look more excited then before." Mom said with a smile "I just want to look at the bright side right now, I don't wanna worry about what happened last time"

I started putting down my boxes in my room so I can take out my stuff. My mom hired a bunch of guys to move the furniture in. "Mom I'm going to go check the town out" I said while walking out of the house. I run outside before she can tell me to get back in the house

I sprinted all the way towards a grave yard and decided to stop and catch my breath there. I walk around finding a spot to sit down comfortably also while reading grave stones i decide to site next to a grave stone that said Bruce yamada.

I read the grave stones next to his "Bruce yamada, Vance hopper, robin Arellano" the names rolling off my tongue. I check my phone to check the time, it's been 10 minutes already.

I get up to go and walk to a store to get snack's , as I get up I see a snake I yell as I get up from the ground as it's coming toward me while I try walking back. I trip over my feet while I take a few steps back hitting my head on a grave stone as I fall down.

———————one hour later———————

I wake up with a killer headache, holding my head in my hands to try and ease the pain while laying my back on a grave stone. "Fuck, my head" I groaned. I get up slowly to steady myself in case I fall on my ass again I looked around for the snake to see if it was still here but I don't see anything.

I start walking back home with my stuff, as I pick up my phone from the ground I feel a shiver down my spine as I bend down to get my phone. As if someone is watching me I turn to see nothing there i start walking back home.

I see my house down the road already thankfully I keep walking as I still feel eyes on me. I see something in the corner of my eye, whipping my head around I see a dog following me.

It was a Golden retriever "Hey buddy" I said as my eyes soften at the dog. "Come here" I crouch down and hold out my hand. It sniffed my hand then got closer to me I smiled at him "I have food at home if your hungry"

He looks at me still. I got up and made my way to my house toward the kitchen, before I can grab a few pieces of Turkey in the fridge I heard my mom walking down the stars. I grabbed a food then ran out again to the dog.

"Here you go Buddy." I put it on the ground as he eats it. I smiled then walked back in the house "where were you it's been an hour!" I looked at her making eye contact.

"I'm sorry mom I was just excited to go see the town" I smiled sheepishly at her. She looked at me still not giving up her death glare "your lucky Im in a good mood" she smiled a little "what did you go see?" She walked toward the couch "nothing just a store to go eat some snacks and stuff, imma go to my room I'm tired out still" I said.

I went to my room to see my stuff still in boxes and just a mattress on the ground. I sighed then Laid down on my back, limbs spread out in a star fish position.

I look out the window to see the night sky I closed my eyes slowly. My head hurts still. But i choose to say nothing knowing my mom will worry to much about me. That's the last thing I want her to do.

"Hello"

I shoot up from my bed eyes widened as I look around frantically. As I settled down I laid back down "fuck I hit my head to hard I'm hearing shit now" I said with a laugh as I let sleep consume me.
