you hurt yourself

It was an usual hot summer day, the temperature was rising and you were busy in the garden.

You had been working on this garden for a year now and you had to be honest, this was the most beautiful you've ever seen it.

The colors were vibrant and the grass was green everywhere- the smell too, was amazing.

At times, you saw a squirrel in a tree or climb up it.

Birds frequently went into the homes that you had set up for them and you could hear their young chirping often, if not every second.

Bela was behind you, reading a book on the porch behind the house.

She, from time to time, handed you a cold glass of water which you'd empty in one go.

You appreciated that a lot since it was burning hot outside and would put yourself at risk of dehydration if it wasn't for your love who'd take care of you.

You stopped for a while and stood up, admiring the flowers.

Until you felt a sting on your arm and you quickly slapped the spot in response.

Then the pain got worse.

You growled in pain and took away your hand, seeing you had been stung.

You dropped everything you held and turned around, walking to the door and heading inside.

"Baby?" Bela called behind you before you heard the door close behind you and footsteps nearing you.

Her hand gently turned you around and she looked you into your eyes, "Did something happen?"

She put her book away and came back to you.

"I got stung." You sighed in frustration as you showed her the spot.

The hook of the bee was still inside of your skin.

She bit her lip and left you for a bit, coming back with a glass of water and a pair of tweezers.

"C'mon, sit down." She pulled out a chair and you did as said.

Right away, she set the glass down and took a hold of your arm to look at the sting.

"I don't even know why it stung me, I did nothing and I didn't even notice it."

"Perhaps it's because you're too sweet." Bela grinned and grabbed the hook of the bee with the tweezers, pulling it out.

"Gosh, that's horrible." You mumbled and she laughed, putting the tweezers away.

She gave you the glass of water and you drank half, "I think this is enough gardening for today."

"I think so too." Bela agreed and looked at you, "How about I prepare a bath for you?"

Your eyes lit up as you nodded your head, feeling like you could use one right now.

With that, she headed upstairs and to the bathroom.

Now you know you'll for sure be at rest.
