You've always loved walking along the streets with your girlfriend during the summer, hand in hand. Those moments filled your week with joy.
She didn't take you out to go shopping specifically, but just to be away from home for a while and wander through the city whether it was day or night. And you surely didn't mind it in any way possible.
Especially when Bela was falling into a relaxed state. She'd be so quiet and her breath was the only thing you'd hear.
And today was one of those lucky days.
It had been a while since the two of you last went out for a walk. Her eyes were wandering the first minute you walked into the city, peace completely overtaking her body.
She truly looked like an angel from where you stood.
Despite Bela's mind leaving reality in this small moment, her grip on your hand was still as gentle yet firm as ever.
The glowing sun hit her pale skin, and an essence seemed to beam off of her.
"She's so pretty." You said, knowing very well that she won't hear it.
And that made her all the cuter.
"Ew, look at her. She's paler than sunscreen. I'd mistake her for a corpse if she wasn't walking on the pavement."
Your head turned a full 180 degrees as you heard those cruel words and haunting laughs, knowing very well that they were talking about Bela.
Anger didn't bother knocking on the door as you let go of the hand you were holding and walked after the dude who had just insulted her. You didn't care about the fact that he was a guy, no one gets to insult your girl. Not even her sisters.
"What did you just say?" The man and his presumably girlfriend turned around to face the person who addressed them.
They both looked like they didn't know what you were talking about, but they were sure that you caught them talking badly about the blonde.
"Excuse me?" The girl laughed and raised her eyebrows at you. Her boyfriend grinned and flicked you off, "You heard what I said."
The nerve he had to boldly agree to that what he just said about your lover made you boil. "How dare you talk bad about people!" You yelled at him and nearly gripped for his collar if it wasn't for Bela pulling you back.
"I'm sorry for my girlfriend, she's got a temper." Bela laughed and quickly pulled you along with her again. "Did you really just give those idiots attention for that what they had said? Baby, you know that they're just jealous of you and I."
Honestly, you were kind of mad at Bela for pulling you away like that. It made you feel like you had lost an argument of some sort. But in that what she said, you saw some truth.
"Didn't you hear what they said about you?" The words left your mouth with irritation. You'd already be cursing at that dude and learning him a lesson if it wasn't for your girlfriend pulling you away from a possible fight.
She laughed and stopped in her tracks, holding onto your hands.
"Of course did I hear, and I couldn't care less." A smile made its way onto her face, "Look at me, I've got the most amazing girl by my side. What could I care about what others think of me, all I care about is what you think."
The calming words she spoke had some effect on you. Within a second were the two of you walking again, your head against her arm.
"Plus, you told me I was so pretty. So that is what's true." She grimaced to herself.
Seems like she does hear everything you say when she's in a trance.
