Gage's P.O.V.
Nervously walking through the front door of the main house, and past Jace's mum and grandparents who are in the living room, and I head toward his bedroom. The three Edwards smile brightly at me as I pace them, and I stop at Jace's closed door which is closed at my request, I take three deep breaths, letting each one out slowly to calm my nervousness before raising my right closed hand to gently knock on the door.
Smoothing my long sleeve white shirt that I have tucked into a pair of black jeans to make sure I look presentable still. My brown hair is not styled since it is cut into a buzz cut, and I am wearing a pair of white Nike shoes.
Jace opens the door, and all I can think is 'Damn!' Jace always looks amazing, but his outfit that is paired with the light eye makeup makes him look more mouth watering than normal.
"You look amazing as usual, Jace," I compliment. "I really like your eye makeup, it makes your beautiful eyes pop more than normal."
His exposed skin erupts into a beautiful cherry colored blush as he shyly replies; "Thank you, Gage. You look amazing, too."
Smiling brightly at him, my nervousness is now fully gone as I bend my right arm at the elbow, holding it out for him to take, and he slides his left hand into the crease. We head toward the front door, passing his family who Jace tells that we are heading out now.
"Curfew is eleven," Rayna tells us with a wink from her spot on the end of the couch with a black and grey throw over her lap. "Love you, Jace, and Gage, please keep my boy safe. Have fun."
"Yes ma'am, I promise to keep him safe, and bring him home in perfect condition," I promise as Jace's blush deepens.
"I love you, too, mum," he tells her before telling his grandparents he loves them, too.
Walking outside to my truck that is parked next to his, I open the passenger side door for him. He murmurs a 'thank you' before giving me a light kiss on the cheek, and then sits in the seat. Walking over to my side as I pull the keys from my pocket, climb inside, shut the door, and start the engine.
"Would you like to eat first, or play mini golf first?" I ask as I start the engine to drive down the driveway.
"Um, can we play mini golf first then eat, please?" he requests, and I can't help but smile at his sweetness.
"Of course we can," I answer, and drive toward the local mini golf location that I googled earlier today on how to arrive there.
"What is your favorite color?" he asks as the radio softly plays music for some background noise.
"Blue. What is yours?" I answer, loving that it seems that he wants to know trival things about me through simple questions.
"Mine is pale pink," he answers cutely. "Um, who is your favorite superhero?"
"I actually have two, Superman and Hawkye. Same question to you?" I reply with a grin.
"Um, Superman is mine, too. I, ah, actually have the Superman symbol tattooed on my left peck," shyly admits, and I find that adorable and sexy. "What actor has been your favorite to play Superman?"
"Oh, that is a tough one," I say, trying to decide on my answer. "Either Dean Cain or Henry Cavill. Do you have a favorite?"
"Dean Cain and Henry Cavill for sure!" he giggles, and that is it, his giggle is now my favorite sound ever. "They are so talented and sexy! Tom Welling, I like him, too. Do you have a favorite scent?"
"Um, probably caramel vanilla or lavender. What is yours?" I answer, realizing I never really thought about this question.
"Apple pie," he giggles, and suddenly he turns up the radio volume a couple of notches. "I love this song and singer! Actually I love everything he has done."
Listening silently for a few seconds, I realize I have no idea who the singer is, but I like the song thus far even though I have never heard it before, so I ask curiously; "Who is the singer?"
He gasps as I pull into the parking lot of our destination, and park as he answers; "Louis Tomlinson is the singer, and the song is called 'Two of Us'."
I don't turn the engine off until the song has finished since he said he loves it, and because he softly sings along. I wonder if he realizes he is singing along, but I do not mind at all since he sounds beautiful like I imagine an angel would sound like singing.
Climbing out once the song has finished, we head to the little shack to pay (well, I pay since I asked him on the date), get the golf clubs, and the golf balls. I find it adorable that we choose each other's favorite color. Thirty-five minutes later, we finished our eighteen hole game with Jace kicking my butt, and winning the game.
Giving him a playful growl as we return the equipment, he loudly giggles saying; "I guess I should have told you that I am really good at this game."
My jaw drops in surprise; "You mister, are sneaky. I will remember that the next time we play. How did you get so good?"
"Mum would bring me sometimes when she was home on leave, and Tory and Ford would bring me sometimes, too," he giggles as we climb into the truck.
"What else are you awesome at besides mini golf?" I chuckle, driving us to the restaurant I want to take Jace to.
"Nothing," he giggles, and I do not believe him for a second, but I do not comment on this.
Arriving at the restaurant five minutes later, we head inside, and are seated immediately, and we are given the menus before the woman walks away. We chat while looking at the menu, and when the server arrives a few minutes later, we order, and continue talking about random things. I will admit, I know this might be a very basic first date for us especially for Jace, but he seems extremely happy.
