Jungkook"Thank you, Taehyung that is all I have for you. My next witness your honor is my other son Jeon Jungkook", my dad says calling me to the stand. I kiss Jin's forehead and walk to the stand. Putting my hand on the Bible and I swear to tell the truth. "Jungkook what did you think the first time you saw the defendant", my father asks pointing to Jin. "How much time do you have. I've never seen anyone so perfect before in my life, his eyes, his smile. It made for everything I ever wanted to fall in love with", I say looking at him while I talk. "Tell us your side of the events that took place leading up to Jin's leaving", my dad asked.
I look at Jin, guilt evident in my stare. "We were stupid, Tae saw Jin's parole officer walk into his apartment. Instead of being the smart, mature, educated men we were, we just assumed the worst and wanted to make him feel bad for cheating on us. Instead of just knocking on the door and asking, we took the low road", I say, trying not to break down. "What did you do", my dad asks. "We invited some of our regulars over and asked them to pretend for us, we wanted to make it seem like we were having relations with them. Basically, making it look like we were cheating on him", I look at Jin again, my stomach roiling at the thought of touching someone else.
"How do you feel now", he asks. "Ashamed. I love him so much. I just hope he feels that we are truly sorry for our stupidity", I say. "I'm done with this witness your honor, I want to call Kim Namjoon up to the stand next", he says. Namjoon's eyes go wide, and he looks at his wife as she pushes him to get up. He gets up and walks to the stand, placing his hand on the bible and sitting down.
"Mr. Kim you are the defendant's brother, you practically raised him after the death of your parents. Am I correct", my dad asks. "Yes, that's correct", Namjoon says. "I think you did a remarkable job by the way. I know that Jin swerved off the path a little bit but you were there always trying to help him. I applaud that for a young man who was forced into a parental roll at such a young age", he says. Namjoon starts to tear up, "he is an amazing little brother." "You didn't like my sons at first, what changed your mind", my dad leans against his table and crossing his arms.
"The way they treated Jin in the hospital, they were so loving and caring toward him, they stayed there 24/7 with him until he was released. I not only saw but I felt the love and the way they both talked about the baby like it was all of theirs not just Jin's, not just Tae's", Namjoon explains. "Did you tell Jin how you felt", he asks. "I did, I told him that people make mistakes, some small some huge but that everyone deserves forgiveness and that I truly believe these two men love him more than anything", Namjoon says wiping his eyes. My dad smiles at him and shakes his hand, "no more questions for this witness, I now call Kim Seokjin to the stand."
Seokjin
I look at Tae and then at Jungkook, terrified of what is happening. He pulls my head toward him and kisses my temple whispering to me that it will be okay. I place my hand on the Bible and swear to be truthful. "Hi Seokjin, as you can see this trial isn't about your participation in the events on the night you were admitted into the hospital. You were in no way involved in what happened, so I had the charges dropped. My sons on the other hand are guilty of being ignorant assholes and they wanted you to really see how sorry they truly are, so I put them on trial. As you see there is no Jury, the taxpayers would be highly upset with us if we went that far", he says smiling.
"I want you to meet the boys grandfather Judge Jeon Chul", Mr. Jeon says pointing to the judge. "Good morning, Seokjin. My grandsons have told me so much about you and they are so smitten with you. Their grandmother can't wait to meet you", the Judge says smiling. Tears are trying to escape my eyes, but I blink them back. I look at the brothers and can't believe they went to all this trouble for me, to prove to me that they are sorry and truly love me. "Seokjin tell me about when you met my sons", he asks.
"I met them the day I moved into the apartment across the hall. Right away my brother warned me to stay away from them, that they would use me and hurt me", I say trying not to cry. "Why did he think that", Mr. Jeon asks. "I think the first day my brother met Taehyung there was a girl in their apartment and Tae didn't even know her name, even though she claimed to have slept with Taehyung before. My brother's guard went up after that and he just assumed that they just had random partners", I say.
"Your brother is a very smart man because he was right, my sons were man whores, until they met you that is. I've never seen my sons in love before and being a father, to see your kids happy makes you happy but seeing them hurt and lost, it's very hard to not want to interfere, which why we are here today", he says pacing back and forth. "I want to make them happy, but sometimes I don't know if I am enough", I confess. "Seokjin, you are more than enough. I've never seen my sons so worried about anyone before, when Jungkook came to me and explained what happened I actually felt his pain and I knew his feelings for you were genuine", he says smiling at his sons.
There was a long pause as he thought about his next statement. "My sons told me you overheard a conversation about me and what I would do if I found they both are in love with the same man. Being the idiots that they are they were under the impression that I wanted them to find woman, marry them and pop out tons of kids, which is what a lot of parents want but not me. I have always been about my son's happiness. So, what you overheard that night was wrong and they never should have assumed", Mr. Jeon explains
"How do you feel about them now and remember you are under oath, this may be a fake court proceeding but you still put your hand on the bible", he says winking at me. I can tell by looking at this man that he loves his sons unconditionally and it makes me happy that he knows about us and is okay with it. "I'm hurt still, I'm hurt that they assumed that I could do something like that to them. I admit I was wrong for not telling them who Yoongi is, but I never thought they would go so far as to hurt me the way they did."
Both brothers look down in shame, I realize that Taehyung is my crier and that Jungkook tries really hard to keep his emotions in check, but I know he is still hurting. "They have more than redeemed themselves in my eyes. I know that they both love me and our baby more than anything and I love them with everything that I am." Both brothers stand, walk over to me and kneel. Jungkook speaks first, "Seokjin, I love you more than anything else on this earth, you have forgiven me, but I will still take the rest of my life making up for my stupidity."
Then Taehyung speaks, "you and our baby are the most important people in my life. I want to spend forever with you Seokjin. I will make sure that you know every single day that I love you and that I will never hurt you again." They look at each other then back at me and hold out two small boxes. "Will you marry us", they ask in unison. I almost fall out of my seat. "We asked Namjoon for permission first and he said yes", Jungkook says. "Oh my god, this can't be real", I say trying not to freak out. The brothers stand taking the rings out and placing one on my right ring finger and one on my left ring finger. "It is real, and we need to hear you say it sweetness", Jungkook says. I look at both of them, "oh yes, yes I will marry you both."
