Chapter 9: The Underappreciated Artist

*Sakura POV

| - Performance Room, Yoba Academy - |

I and the other members of Nightchord were watching DJ Mash's performance.

I was dazzled by their performance. Their music had a festive feel to it, but at the same time, it had this calming feeling. Not to mention, their visuals managed to back the aura of the songs.

Hina: "They gave an amazing performance, no wonder the whole school is giving them their attention."

Yukiko: "Their skills are not to be underestimated."

Hikari: "Agreed."

Hikari, Yukiko, and Hina went out of the performance room while I was just standing there, baffled by their performance, especially...

Sakura: "Ohnaruto Muni..." I mumbled her name under my breath.

Her visuals were fascinating, something I couldn't pull off. I was buried in my thoughts until I felt someone poking my shoulder.

Hikari: "Hey, you're okay?"

Sakura: "Oh, yeah, I-I'm fine."

I followed Hikari outside and we spent our time together as a unit.

I immediately went to my room and I laid down on my bed.

Sakura: *sigh*

I looked at my phone and tried to do some ego search on our last performance. After I found the recording online, I read the comments.

Comment#1: <Nightchord is a total hype!!!>

Comment#2: <DJ Nyx as always managed to make such a miraculous song>

Comment#3: <Chizuki's lyrics are so powerful!!>

Comment#4: <Pandora is the one who made their costume?! I knew it when I saw it for the first time!!!>

Comment#5: <But, their VJ isn't a special one, no?>

Comment#6: <Yeah, Sara is the mediocre one in the group>

Sakura: "Tch!"

I threw my phone onto my bed, and I frowned while staring at the ceiling. But suddenly...

Sakura's Mom: "Sakura!! Dinner's ready!!"

Great... Now I have to deal with my mom...

I went out of my room to the dining room.

Sakura's Mom: "So, how's your mock exam?"

Sakura: "..."

Sakura's Mom: "So?"

I simply put the result in front of her.

Sakura's Mom: "What is this?! Why did you get an average score?!"

Sakura: "..." I continued to eat my meals.

Sakura's Mom: "Didn't I ask you to get a good grade?! How do you expect to get into a good university?!"

I didn't bother to listen to her rant, and right after I finished my dinner, I went straight to my room. I grabbed my tablet and started to work on the illustration of Nightcord's new song.
