          YOUR EYES WIDEN WHEN THAT VOICE RANG IN YOU EARS,

But your daze where cut off when Miki called out your name. You turned your head to her as her hands were on the hem of you lilac kimino. You wipe your hands on a the side of your kimino as you were wiping the floor.

"Nee, [y/n]-nee, are you done now?" Miki asked as she held those puppy eyes she could mustered. You tightened the tie in her mask that were almost loosed on your head. You patted her head.

"I'm yet done but almost. So wait, Miki. Understood?" you nonchalantly said as she pout before running were she know.

You stare at her fading form before taking the wet rag in the pail full of water as you wring it into the pail before wiping the floor once again.

As you were done wiping the floor as you took the pail and throw the dirty water at the backyard before washing the wet dirty rag you used and hang it to dry.

You sighed as you look up in the sky, one of your hand shielded your mask from the sunlight and you just stare in daze and watch the clouds move in a soft motion as the bird past off your perspective.

It was two months ago when you remembered you were being adopted in the orphange yet you still can't remembered everything in your past and the only memory that was stuck in your mind was the unfair treatment of the maid in the orphange and the severe bullying of the kids in there.

You can't help but to gritt your teeth in anger as you recall the bully and unfair treatment they gave to you. You wanted to fight back there but you knew you can't.

Even it wasn't your fault, they'll still blame you the sin you didn't even committed.

You clenched the fox mask that covering the half of your face. Remembering the only kind man in the orphanage gave this to you.

"Keep this, [y/n]. Even it's not the most beautiful fox mask I bought in the market but I hope this mask can help you."

And yes it help you, so were very thankful to that man that he gave this to you. The half-fox mask help you to hide your appearance to the other people you've met, especially your family.

"[y/n]-nee, your done! your done!" you blink out of your daze, again, when you heard the familiar voice echoed in your ear.

You turned your body to where the voice came from, only your legs to be tackled by the petite form of Miki but luckily you didn't even budge or else your buttocks will meet the dirty ground instead.

Miki let go of hugging your legs before tugging the hem of your kimino, gesturing for you to carry her.

You carry her with ease in your arms as she giggled and just hearing that sweet melody, the ice caging up your just melt down as you give her cheek a peck, making her giggles once more.

She cupped your cheecks with her little hands and give you mask a peck, before in your cheeks and nose.

"[y/n]-nee is the mossssst beatiful girl in the world." she exclaimed as emphasized the word 'most' and gibe you a one big, sweet grin.

Behind of your mask, your eyes soften upon the sight on you. You can't help but to adore the four-years old child. Even though you might not great at saying it to her but you show it through your actions.

She was innocent of this cruel world, so you wanted her to cherish her happy moments in childhood. Being away from the evil people in disguise and give no care at the bad side of the world.

You don't want her to be like YOU, you don't want her memories to be tainted with pain, agonizing pain. You don't want her to feel the exact distressed you get through when just like her.

Bullying, harsh words, the unfair treatment. It just give you a pang in your heart whenever you thoughylt of Miki feeling that.

"Oh, [y/n]-nee, Mama is home! She is in the kitchen!" she happily said before pointing where there house was. Your lips curle up in a small smile before going where your Mom was.

"Okaa-san, welcome home." you simply said gently putting Miki in the ground as the said latter run to her Mom before hugging her legs.

Though, it was a month you've been adopted by the Osagi family you're use to call them Okaa-san except to Kunima since you have your high respect because of what he did to you in the past to him so you tend to call him 'Osagi-sama'.

"Um, thank you, [y/n]. And I got a little suprise for you." Kisaki, your mom said as she get something in her amethyst haori that were pattered with white rectangular shapes.

In there, she held a small well-wrapped gift from her hand. The wrap was colored with maroon and pattered with pine tress.

"Here, I immediately wrapped that in the sewing shop I work. So go on, open it." Kisaki gave you the gift and you hesitantly accept.

You were quite embarrased and happy though as you slowly unloosen the red string that were tied on the gift. The gift slowly opened and Kisaki let out a small squeal as the gift were now unwrapped.

You slowly sat on the tatami floor as your mom do the same. She held one of your shoulders as you pick the necklace and raise it infront of your face.

It was silver and designed with a small white fox mask. The fox mask have a red circles eyes as the lips were downwards into two lines as edge of the lines had red circles on it.

You can't help but to adore the gift your mom give to you. Your lips curled up in a genuine smile in your lips. It was so beatiful that you were willing not to wear it and just treasure it. It was the second gift you get from the person you really adore and loved.

"Come on, let me put the necklace on." she gently took the necklace in your and help you put it around your necks. As Kisaki face you and held your shoulders as she examine the necklace as on thought were on her mind,

‘It was perfect.’

"Thank you so muck, Okaa-san." and just that she hug you and patted your back.

"Anything for my daughter." Kisaki gently giggled and just that moment were broke when Miki wriggled in bettween you two. Miki snuggle closer to you and she let out a satisfied sigh and Kisaki let out a laugh while you just smile.

"Oh so I'm not not part of the hug now." and you three whipped your to the owner of the voice and there you saw Kunima pouting as he playfully croosed her arms and scoffed.

"Oh darling, come on." and just that sweet voice Kisaki held, Kunima rushed in your side and scooped you three in his big arms and kiss Kisaki temple before Miki and you.

"Family hug!" suddenly exclaimed making all off you laugh as copied her too but only in a soft tone

"Hmm, Family hug."
