~iris~
School, school, school. It's the one thing that will make us rich (according to adults). I get it, a good education is helpful when wanting to have lots and lots of money. In my opinion, being 'rich' doesn't mean having lots of money; it means being wealthy in another way alongside money. For example, you could be rich by having a loving and caring family or lots of friends. I'm not rich, in money or friends/family.
That's what I was thinking about in English class until my name was called. "Iris could you please tell us what Macbeth's hamartia is?" Ms Carter asked. Ms Carter knew I rarely payed attention in class, that's why she asked me. Gosh, I hate when teachers do that, pick someone who has their hand up (aka not me!) "His ambition to be king" Kelianne whispered beside me. "His ambition to be king" I answered back after a few seconds, with a mini grin on my face. "Correct" Ms Carter replied back to me and carried on teaching. I gave Kelianne a small smile, thanking her.
Kellianne Madden (aka Anne) has been friends with me since we were 4 years old, we met in school and have been friends ever since. I have never ever argued with her or fallen out with her or anything, she doesn't give me a reason too and that's why she's my best friend- well alongside other things of course. Kellianne has light, brunette virgin hair and sparkling, emerald green eyes- which I have envied my whole life.
She has an older brother who comes to this school and is a year older than us. His name's Elijah Madden, and he's a moody brat. When I was younger, and I used to come over to Anne's house I would always say hello to him and ask him how he is and he would always ignore me and leave the space we were in. He has never spoken to me, and to be honest I don't want to speak to him either now, because of how intimidating he looks. Elijah has dark brown ruffled hair and the same green illuminating eyes as Anne. That's another reason I don't want to speak to him, because of his eyes, if you even give a quick glance at him and make eye contact, his eyes speak for him, piercing through yours and telling you to leave him alone.
