apollos x serenity

part 19

Serenity was as confused as Apollos was earlier. She stands there quietly not knowing what to say or think. She quietly says "..,, that can't be ..., my father is dead ..., god told me he was ...." She unfolds her wings and flies out of the throne room trying to wrap her mind around all this.

"Lucifer... That name died... I am still here." The dark lord pointed to himself before looking at Apollos. "Why are you apologizing?" He asked and watched as Serenity began to fly. Apollos was about to jump after her but the dark lord stopped him. "Apollos... No. She has to take it all in... Give her time." He said holding a hand out to stop him. "Apollos.." He said and walked to him, holding out a hand to shake his. Apollos got up and looked to him, staying quiet "I thank you for saving my daughter... Heaven is no place for her to be in... Her demon powers are almost as powerful as mine.. I feel it" Apollos shook hands with him and after standing there awkwardly for a few moments, he began to explain what happened and how he found her... Leaving out the bad parts of course

Serenity keeps flying not paying attention to where she was going. And after a little bit she slowly lands and sits Down by a river looking thing and puts her head on her knees. Thinking about what he said.

"He looks just like her mother." The dark lord said, unsure if he should continue to feel happy that she was back or feel worried. "Apollos... My daughter might have been sent from God to search for something... A spy... We must be careful not to fall for any tricks.. Watch her every move... Do not harm her though..." Apollos nods to him. He had a point. Maybe this innocent half demon angel was actually planning on doing something suspicious. Perhaps she would try to find out how to remove the wall. Apollos flew up and made his way towards Serenity's path. /If I do this... I will probably receive an even better reward than the respect of all the incubi....\ He smirked slyly at his thought.

Serenity sits there almost crying, wondering why god would lie to her about her father. She closes her eyes and keeps thinking. Not wanting to believe it but knows its true.

Apollos flew for a while, it was a little hard trying to find her since everything was still very dark. "Serenity!" He yelled aloud before following a very sad looking river. /Shes always around water.. She must be here..\ Apollos remembered the waterfall from earlier. When he flew just above the river, he followed it until he saw her sitting down. "Serenity." Apollos folded his wings and hid them in his back. "Why so glum." He said before getting on one knee, using one hand to make her look at him.

Serenity slowly looks at him, almost in tears. "..... Lets see I've been lied to all my life ... I just found out my father is still alive after being told he died before I was even born ...,. " she lays her head back on her knees shaking slightly.

It was hard for Apollos to feel bad, but he knew he had to make her feel better, or his lord would not be happy with him. "It isn't his fault. He could not tell you.. He was busy creating Hell and was never welcomed back in heaven." Apollos faked a smile for her. "Dont be so forlorn."

Serenity slowly looks at him again. "I'm not sad, I'm pissed that after all his preaching about not lying he ends up doing it ...he's a hypocrite ....... And don't fake a smiles its not very appealing" she looks at the river not really in the mood to be humoured.

Apollos took a very deep breath and got up onto his feet. "You're right about everything...It isn't very appealing. I am a demon. I am not supposed to care about others.." His voice seemed to trail off as he said this. Maybe he did have feelings?

Serenity keeps looking at the river ".... Why did he make this place so sad and depressing?" She asked as she stands up and stretches, holding her wings up.

"It would have been what you angels call. 'perfect' If it weren't for the dark lord." Apollos placed a hand on his chin as if he were to think. "If he hadn't rebelled against your 'god' and his ways..I wouldn't exist. The real perfect world is with us..." (xD)

"A perfect world is where there is both good and evil, not just one or the other" she says as she looks up " but I know one thing even if heaven does break down that wall I'm not going back"

Apollos smirked. "Good.." He stood quiet for a second before speaking again, pacing back and forth near the waterfall. "Why do you think we closed down heaven, Serenity..." He raises a brow and looks to her. "Not only for revenge... but to make our perfect world!"

"Y'alls perfect world is full of death and hate, that's not a perfect world for anyone. but demons" she says as she looks at him "why where you so scared of him anyways?"
