Garden of Hearts

Chapter 2

Kinabukasan ay nagising ako ng maaga dahil sa alarm ko. Gusto ko pa sanang matulog ulit kaso baka ma-late na ako kaya bumangon na lang ako. I went to the bathroom and did my morning routine.

Our school has no dress code so we can wear whatever we want. I picked my outfit swiftly after doing my morning routine. I just wore a simple high waisted grey trouser and a black fitted long sleeves na may square neckline. I also wore a silver necklace na may small heart pendant para hindi bare tingnan ang dibdib ko. Nag dala na rin ako ng sweater kasi baka lamigin ako sa room kahit pa naka long sleeves na ako. I plan to wear my usual white shoes but I'm gonna do that later since I still have to eat my breakfast.

Nag toast lang ako ng bread and nilagyan ng Lotus Biscoff spread. Favorite ko talaga to kaysa sa mga normal na peanut butter. I also made myself some hot coffee since I don't like drinking cold drinks in the morning kasi sumasakit ang tiyan ko. Kinuha ko ang bag ko sa kwarto at nag lagay ng perfume. I usually fix my bag the night before so that I won't forget anything.

Pag dating ko sa school ay wala pa masyadong tao since it's still early. Our classes starts at eight am, but I usually go here around seven to study in the library.

I took my laptop out and started studying for my first class which is math. I don't really like math so I try to study before hand so that hindi ako mapahiya mamaya.

I was in the middle of  writing a formula when someone suddenly entered the library. Actually, not just someone...

It was Dion in all glory! Wearing his simple outfit that I like very much. Black slacks and plain white shirt. I'm pretty sure it's from Uniqlo because of the tela! He was also wearing a belt! His eyeglass was hanging prettily on his perfect nose. And as usual, his Rolex. It was just a very simple outfit but with his built, he looked like a celebrity!

Ang ganda ng fashion sense amp!

He walked straight to his usual table without looking at anyone. Not even me! Hmp! I watched him as he also started studying. He was actually the reason why I go to school early and why I'm studying. I want him to be the first one I see in the morning because it really puts me in a good mood! And also, I get inspired when he's studying that's why I'm also trying to study hard.

Sometimes, having a crush is good, especially if your crush inspires you to be better. And Dion being my crush really has a good effect on me. Ever since I started liking him, my grades really went high!

Maybe because he was just too good and if I want him to notice me or to like me, I have to be good too. And also para walang masabi ang ibang tao. I don't really care of what people say about me pero sometimes, hindi ko talaga maiwasan ang pakinggan ang mga pinupuna nila sa akin.  But I choose to ignore it for my confidence sake, because I don't want to ruin the confidence that I built for years.

Feeling mo naman magiging kayo talaga.

I mentally cursed to myself kasi nag f-feeling na naman ako.

Natauhan ako nang biglang mag tama ang mga mata namin. Nataranta ako bigla at dali-daling bumaling sa laptop ko. I pretended that I was studying. I glance his way and was bewildered when I saw him still looking at me with furrowed brows.

Hala patay!

May plano naman akong mag first move pero parang biglaan naman, Lord! Pinakalma ko ang sarili ko at tiningnan ulit siya. He was still looking at me so I raised my brows and winked at him!

Gosh, nakakahiya! I remained the eye contact and saw his perfect brows furrowed more. I smiled at him and wave. He shook his head like he was disappointed and went back to his work. I just watched him do his work. He looked at me again and furrowed his brows.

He suddenly stood up and went straight to me. Magkalapit lang ang upuan namin ngunit nasa harap niya ako kaya kitang kita ko siya.

He went to me and said, "Miss, can you move a little? I can't see the writing behind you."

My eyes widened. Tumingin agad ako sa likod ko at nakitang may nakalagay doon na bagong schedule kung kailan mag c-close ang library. Dati kasi hanggang twelve am, pero ngayon, hanggan ten pm na lang.

I bit my lower lip and looked at him in embarrassment. Stupid! Hindi pala ako ang tinitingnan, nakakainis! "Sorry, Dion! Eto na, ta-tabi na!"

I moved my chair to the side and went back to studying pero hindi ako maka-focus dahil sa kahihiyan na ginawa ko! I bang my head against the table a little.

Punyeta naman, Sol! Ano 'yon? Nakakahiya ka! At kumindat ka pa talaga, ha! Jusko! Bakit naman kahihiyan ang na feel ko sa first interaction namin! Nakakainis!

I looked at him again and saw him looking at me weirdly. Umusog ulit ako kasi baka hindi ako ang tinitingnan niya, pero sumunod ang mga mata niya sa ginawa ko. I moved my body to the side to see if he's really looking at me, pero sumunod pa rin ang mga mata niya! I pointed at myself and raised my brows at him. He just looked at me and raised his brows while shaking his head. Bumalik ang tingin niya sa laptop niya at nag simula siyang mag type ulit.

Suplado!

Pero kahit ganoon, crush pa rin kita! Hmp!

The bell rang so inayos ko ang mga gamit ko at lalabas na ng library ngunit natigilan ako dahil hindi kami nagkasya ni Dion sa pintuan. My arms touched his biceps and oh my gosh! Ang tigas! Bakit naman gan'to? Iiyak na talaga ako dito, sige!

He walked backwards at pinauna akong lumabas. Lumabas agad ako at nag lakad sa classroom namin. Ni lingon ko siya at nakitang nasa likod ko lang pala siya! Muntik pa siyang ma bunggo sa likod ko dahil sa pag tigil ko! Umatras siya ng kaunti at tiningnan ako.

"Did you study for our quiz today?" I asked him dahil gusto kong may pag-usapan naman kami.

Tiningnan niya ako with 'are you serious?' face. I raised my brows at him, encouraging him to answer.

He licked his lower lip before answering. "Of course, what do you think did I do in the library?"

Shit! Oo nga pala! Galing kami sa library! Malamang nag-aral siya. Ano pa bang gagawin niya roon, mag p-pray? Ang bobo ko talaga!

I looked at him and laughed awkwardly. "Ah, oo nga! Haha.." I turned my back to him and run to our classroom. Gosh! Nakakahiya, ayoko na! Umupo ako sa upuan ko at pinakalma ang sarili. Pumasok din si Dion pero hindi ko na siya tiningnan dahil sa kahihiyan sa katangahan ko. Una, noong akala ko tinitingnan niya ako pero 'yon pala sa likod ko siya nakatingin! Pangalawa is 'yung sa hallway! Oh my god! Sa first interaction pa talaga namin ako naging tanga!

I was just skimming through my notes until our professor went inside.

"Get one fourth sheet of paper," the professor said. Dali-dali akong kumuha ng papel at ball-pen.

Nag simula nang mag ask ng questions ang professor at na sagutan ko naman lahat. Thank, God!
