MILE

A night with him is going just fine thus far, I don't really know how I must say this. It just feels weird to have been companied by someone. I am usually alone, not really. I have a cat, I don't have any human friends. In general. I mean, I do but they don't visit me that often. Barely.

Apo was sitting by the balcony, he pretty much explored my house. He said he likes my balcony the most. I joined him in as I sat in front of him.

The rain had ceased, the sky was clearer than before. Pitch black and dark clouds, stars are barely sighted but who cares. Petrichor arisen and it aroused my nostrils. Weird but I find the comfort in it.

"I see, you like the smell of earth after it rains. Don't you?" Apo peered at me, grinning ear to ear. Now, I've never really had any proper conversation with him. Our normal ones only lasted seconds because we don't really interact whenever he comes by.

He would just greet me, then take my cat. It is pretty casual to him. I believe after he returns my cat, he would go straight to his work.

"Who doesn't?" I raised an eyebrow, bringing up a knee against my chest. Getting myself comfortable on my seat. He just chuckled then turned away, he must've seen me sniffing the air.

Should I be embarassed?

"My cat doesn't. He hated it."

"You have a cat?" I asked, tilting my head to the side. If he really do have a cat, why bother taking mine?

Apo took his time before speaking as he breathed in deeply. "I used to." He simply answered, his eyes flickered at me. I leaned back, narrowing my eyes. "I don't want to ask any further." I said, brows arched. It's obvious that his cat is no longer in presence. I don't want to bring up an unwanted past from him.

Be sensitive about it, mile.

"No, it's not dead if that's what you're thinking." Apo chortled, waving his hands. Strange but that was such a relief. I thought I might've saddened him at some point.

"Oh? Good, then."

Everything went quite, only the sound of remaining raindrops upon the roof can be heard right in this moment. I inspected him carefully and the clothes that I had given to him was a bit larger than his size. I could take this as a confirmation that I'm bigger than him.
