"You really didn't know?" Caroline asked me for the third time.
"Are you sure?" She squinted her eyes at me as if I was lying to her.
"..cause you look as if you knew and not acting as if your favorite ex slash best friend isn't in front you"
She's right, we've thought on having kids together but after Lizzie and Josie, we thought it safe not to.
But knowing I'm in a relationship with someone who not so recently but recently had sex and now having a baby is honestly a heavy load of baggage that I don't think, I'm really ready to take on. I mean, does he even think he's ready?
" look Caroline don't worry about it, let's find something to do.." I trailed off looking towards Kai talking to Klaus acting all flirtatious.
Who knows if Damon is aware of this, but I'll let it slide since Damon only came back to mystic falls to get the girl I waited and chased all that time. Only for Damon to have her in the end.
You see in this 'universe' how that played out, but honestly did anyone see that coming cause I didn't.
"While you and Kai are visiting" I shot her a fake smile and tried to maintain it knowing I just wanted to vamp speed over there and knock him on his ass.
"Obviously Damon doesn't know I'm on this trip an-" Kai was rambling on, but was interrupted by me and Caroline, which Caroline suggested.
I guess she read my mind, those twin must left her with telepathy.
"Would you guys mind if we joined this little conference" Caroline said nudging Kai, which in return rolled his eyes.
"Wouldn't call it that love" Klaus said turning to face me and Caroline.
"Mhm yea okay" she said and pulled Kai back towards the way they came.
"We're going to have a couple drinks, you wanna join?" I asked klaus and he rejected, something about being very close to time to have the baby. I tuned out when started going on about the day of the birth.
I just was ready to release all of my problems behind a big bottle of vodka.
He must seen my disinterest and knowing how we left our conversation before caroline and Kai came, I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to be around right now.
Another reason to drink some more.
