"Come on Scorpius, you are going to be late for daycare." Draco hollered as his nearly 3 year old child sniffled sadly in the hallway near the entrance hall of Malfoy manor. He finished putting his coat on, sliding his hands over the front to smooth it out.

"But daddy I don't want to go to daycare." Scorpius wailed big tears rolling down his little face as he attempted to tie his shoes halfheartedly.

"I know you don't but daddy has an important meeting and grandma can't watch you and neither can aunt Andy. It's only for today I promise." He responded, swishing his wand to tie the shoes and wrapping his scarf around his neck in one motion

"Okay," the miniature blonde sniffled, "Will there be other wizard kids there I can meet?"

"I'm sure there will be, buddy, now c'mon we're gonna be late."

Draco picked up the kid, situated him on his hip and apparated them to the daycare center. He set Scorpius down and quickly began filling out the forms required. The daycare was a magical daycare only those within the wizarding world could use it. Muggle parents could leave their non-magical children with them only if one or more older siblings went to Hogwarts. This was a blessing and a curse to Draco, well known last name made finding childcare impossible but this place seemed to not really care about names and status.

Finished with forms Draco glanced up and saw a rather razzled looking Harry Potter standing there with an auburn haired boy clutching his hand and screaming. Draco nearly dropped his quill, Harry Potter's child going to regular old daycare? In nearly the same instant Harry looked up and saw Draco.

"Malfoy?"

"Potter." He replied simply adding no indication of his shock or nerves to his voice.

"I didn't realize you had a kid let alone would ever let them come to daycare."

"Not many people know I have a kid and I am just as surprised to see you here don't you have an army of friends to watch your children or you know your ex wife could do it?" Draco didn't mean for there to be any venom in his voice but it seemed to come out very wrong.

"Ginny is on Quidditch tour and I got full custody because of that, she comes to visit when she can and everyone else was busy today so poor James had to come to Daycare again." Harry replied ignoring the poorly worded question.

"I'm sorry for how that last comment came out but you really have full custody?"

"Yeah, Ginny was never the super motherly type anyways she was always gone for Quidditch stuff and so it just made more sense for the kid to come with me." Harry said like he had repeated the story hundreds of times. "My question is; since when do you have a child Malfoy?"

"Since I got really drunk at a party and hooked up with a random girl, she didn't want Scorpius so I took him at birth." Draco replied in the same manner. He had to explain this about 6 times to different people already and he didn't see a reason to lie about where his beautiful boy had come from. No matter his parentage he was a Malfoy and an amazing one at that.

Harry nodded as they both turned in their forms and headed out the door to go their separate ways. Harry stopped Draco before he could apparate away. "Hey I know this is kind of out there but do you wanna meet up at my house and let the kids have a playdate? James doesn't really get to meet many kids that I trust outside of his cousins and Teddy. I don't want his friends' parents using him to get close to me and or to leak my location and I trust you won't tell the press my location and..."

Draco cut him off, "Scorpius and I would love to. This is actually his first time really hanging out with kids his age. My family name doesn't exactly warrant many interactions with trusting parents."
