After realizing we'd have to fight several vampires, Zhongli and I agreed to talk more about it when we met up in the evening at Wanmin Restaurant.

In the meantime, I travelled around Liyue to find the Fatui, as he suggested.

---

"Did you bring the goods? If we try and bribe them into it, then..."

I could hear their voices getting louder, and I was getting more thirsty for their blood. I'd waited long enough and I needed it to be strong.

"Yes, I did bring- who're you?"
They noticed my arrival and pulled out their weapons.

"I'm hungry." I mumbled, stepping closer towards them.

"What? You're hungry? Then go to Liyue Harbor and buy some lunch, so pathetic..."

I smiled and shook my head.
"You are my lunch."

I grabbed the one who bad mouthed me and dug my teeth into his neck. He screamed in agony, and his sidekicks immediately tried to pull me away.

I felt my strength coming back to me.
"Mmm... fresh blood."

The man I was holding was already dead, so I moved on to the others.

"Y-You are a monster! What the hell are you d-doing?" The one with a cryo gun yelped, while I drank the life out of his colleagues.

"Monster...? No, I'm everything but a monster... in fact, you guys are the evil ones here."

He whined and backed away from me. I felt the other guy's blood drip down my chin, but I was so excited to have more of it.

"Please don't! I wanna live!"
The fatuu got down on to his knees and put his hands together.

"Are you innocent?"

"W...What?"

"Have you done anything bad in your life? Anything that could be considered a sin? Answer me truthfully." I hoped he wouldn't lie.

"Yes...! Yes, I've done so many wrongdoings and I'm so sorry! I've hurt children, I've stolen, I even once framed someone for what I've done but I will repent, please believe me!"
It seemed as if he was about to start sobbing, and I didn't want that to ruin the taste of his blood.

"Whatever." I mumbled, before biting him as harshly as I could. I knew for sure I wouldn't be asking anyone about their innocence again, because that was very annoying.

---

I wiped my mouth clean and dragged the bodies to make it look like a traveler defeated them on their journey.

In my bag, I had a few empty blood bags. To preserve them I poured any blood that was left in the bodies into the bags. I needed every drop I could get if I was going to kill some vampires that could potentially snap my neck like a stick.

I cracked my knuckles and then my neck. I steadied myself and looked up straight.
"Let's see if I can use my speed correctly, then..."

I ran as fast as I could, and instantly I was already halfway back to the harbor. Almost falling from the impact, I smiled to myself.

"This is going to come in handy."

---

For the rest of the day, I went around Liyue fighting the Fatui and draining their blood into the plastic hospital bags so that I wouldn't have to go again for a little while.

I tried to recall what the vampires were like when they killed my mom that night. It was difficult, seeming as it was so many years ago.

I did remember that they weren't as quick as I am now, which was going to be useful. However... they knew what they were doing, which meant they had been vampires for at least 20 years at the time.
