Nancy walked at a somewhat-fast pace through the wood, cutting through the foliage to hopefully find any sort of path. It was like a hedge maze, almost, with ivy and vines and bushes and trees everywhere. The forest felt cold and quiet, with a faint crimson hue visible within any light that were to peek in through the darkness. It felt surreal when she went to turn on her flashlight, and instead of the expected illumination, it was noticeably dimmer and had a reddish pigment to it as if it used a colored bulb. Faint sparks of light that mimicked fireflies occasionally appeared in the back of Nancy's vision, disappearing with a buzz when she went to stare.

It reminded her of those odd photos she often found on the internet of dark, off-putting forests with small specks of light littering them like glitter. The glowing specks would appear, drift around for a moment, and disappear, as if they were insects with soft bioluminescence.

That's when they started to get more and more frequent, purposely blocking out parts of her peripheral vision and appearing as black specks. She blinked a few times to try and ward them off, but it only made them worse. Her chest felt like it was being constricted, ribs tightening against her lungs and the air she breathed scratching against her throat. It was like invisible ropes were tightly tugging at her throat, being pulled by invisible hands from behind her. Her flashlight clattered to the ground from her shaky hand and she felt herself collapse onto her knees as her mind felt fuzzier, the world around her spinning as it got darker and her lungs feeling like they were being held shut by an unseen force. She felt herself collide with the grass and she caught a glimpse of the sideways-appearing trees before everything in her head got cloudy and darkness soon crept in.

You stood quietly on the wooden-tile floor, watching Pikett pace around the room while an hour into a rant about...well, you couldn't really tell what it was about anymore, it had changed topics a few times to keep himself distracted from the current situation and you kept cautiously turning your attention to the front door incase a certain rabbit-associated demon returned.

Suddenly, making you jolt even though you expected it, the door slammed open with the well-known 5'3 otherworldly entity behind it, "aaaand I've got my body back! Surprisingly a little challenging to find, he got pretty far! Somehow found his way to the Candleverse! How are you guys doing? How are we feelin' today?" Pikett went quiet, quickly answering with a thumbs up. HABIT grinned, clasping his hands together, "good, good! Anyhow, you guys can have some of the cookies if you want, by the way, they've cooled down by now. Chocolate chip!"

Your e/c eyes glanced over at the kitchen, where you saw the tray of supposed cookies that had finished in the middle of your time in the attic sitting on the counter.

You felt the tip of the weapon trace softly against the middle of your upper back, before stabbing into the skin just in-between your shoulder blades, dragging it down to the small of your back just above your hips.

You had suddenly decided you did not want the cookies.

Which, honestly, was probably for the best, anyways, because your knowledge of HABIT's page on the Slenderverse Wikipedia makes it seem like he'd put things like baby hands or human eyes in them.

"...If you're worrying about them being poisoned or laced with morality-questioning things, don't worry, I've tried that before and they taste like shit if you do that, so they're safe!" he was about to continue speaking, before his eyes appeared to almost glaze over, as if he were looking through someone else's eyes while his body remained still, "...I'd love to stay, but it turns out a certain someone is actually awake a lot faster than I thought she'd be! See you soon, kids, don't burn the place down while I'm gone!"
