"What the fuck." Amao let the words tumble from his mouth completely on accident. Really, it was an accident. He would NEVER curse in front of Ayato.
But as he snuck a glance at the mentioned boy, he didn't look too far from cursing either. It made Amao recoil slightly from the intensity of his face.
"Aya-chan, I had no idea they were coming, I swear!-"
Amao was cut off by several boys yelling in the distance, all of them shouting out the different nicknames and pet names of Ayato's.
"Darling!"
"Twink!"
"Aishi-kun!"
"Aya!
"Aya-kun!"
"Y-you Succubus!"Upon all of the boys calling for him at the same time, it caused them to look at each other strangely. But, Ayato recognized this strange look, for this expression was one of Anger.
"Woah woah woah, you called him 'twink'?!"
"That emo called him a succubus! Focus on that! What does that mean!"
"No, I'm kinda pissed because why'd you call him 'Dar-ling' like some lovesick schoolgirl?! You gonna make him a bento with love?!?!"
"Why you imprudent- he deserves only the best name from myself, because he is my Juliet!"
"YOUR JULIET?!?!" The collective turned upon Kizano, the poor bastard in question.
"Hey now, let's not forget that one," He pleaded as he pointed a perfectly manicured finger at Oko, "He called my poor Juliet a sex demon! Not in those words but it means the same thing!"
A quiet 'eek' was ripped out of Oko's throat, he resigned to hiding behind the large and thick book he'd brought with himself, hiding his blushing face.
"W..well, that guy, uhm, h-he said....yknow!" He barely made out, too embarrassed to say the word outright, so he whispered, "Twink!"
A beat of silence fell over the group still down below the tree, yet much closer than they thought they were.
"Yeah like you're gonna do something about that! That's Osoro Shidesu you gothic eclair, you gonna tell him to stop?" Aso piped up after he got tired of the silence. He then turned to the three up on the slight hill under the tree.
"Hey Aishi-kun! You having fun?" He said with a wry smile.
"Uh, sure."

Though it made Amao incredibly angry, because yes his picnic was ruined, yes his pastries and cakes and parfaits were eaten by someone other than Ayato, and YES HE WAS SITTING WITH 7 OTHER BOYS WHEN IT WAS JUST SUPPOSED TO BE HIM AND AYATO BUT NOOOOOOOO!
AYATO JUST HAD TO BE SO BEAUTIFUL AND INTERESTING WHILE BEING SO MYSTERIOUS AND NOW AMAO HAS ALL THESE IDIOTS TO COMPETE WITH!
But as his father told him before, good things come to those who wait. But his mother also told him that if he wants something he needs to take it for himself, so now he wasn't sure what to do.
Amao knew one thing though, this public picnic? It was never happening again.
Fucking Kizano.
———
Osano was incredibly happy to see that Ayato hadn't smiled nor laughed truly once on that phoney-baloney dessert that Amao called a date.
Then again, Ayato hadn't smiled or laughed truly with Osano either. Maybe it was time Osano figured out how to really read Ayato like he oh so desperately wanted.
How else was Aya gonna fall in lov-
Like him.
How else was Aya going to like him?

Oko was honestly just trying to keep from going home, he was tired of being shut in his room.
But it was mostly also the fact that Aishi was definitely a Succubus, like how else could all these boys present like him so much?
Yes he's pretty, and yes he has this mysterious factor that Oko can't seem to get enough of, but he's so cut off from the rest of us.
Probably because he's a Succubus.
———
Shidesu was ecstatic at the opportunity to crash this little 'dinky-date' of Odayaka's planning. He hated that dude, and his happy little cyan-pink apron-ed head. He was completely different from Osoro.
But damn, if he didn't make a good cheesecake.
Osoro was hungry though, he hadn't eaten in a day or two, so this cake probably wasn't as good as his mouth said it tasted.
Oh well.
There wasn't anything wrong with having your cake and eating it too. He could tell Amao really like this Aishi kid.
It was a shame that he liked that Aishi kid too.
———
Kizano had gotten into an argument with Amao about all of the ingredients he used. Enough said about how that went.
———
Aso felt sort-of bad about what happened. This was his best friend after all, but supposed 'best friends' tell each other about dates 'n such. Especially what you have planned, sure Amao told him he'd asked out Aishi but Aso got no details!
Did Aso want to know because he was a nosy bastard? No. Did Aso want to know because he liked Aishi? Probably.
Maybe.
Ok, yes. That was the reason, but Aso would never admit it! To admit it would be to lose! And Aso never loses.
Especially not to his friends. And especially not to his Best Friend.
———
Ayato was fuming.
'This sucks,' he thought to himself. All these boys together were too much to handle at once. His mind was melting from the stupidity of these 6 boys.
'I want to go home, I don't even care about these overly sweet desserts anymore.'
Ayato realized that all the boys were bickering with each other, and weren't paying a lick of attention to him.
He used this opportunity to practice his stealth skills and stood up slowly and quietly behind the tree.
No one noticed his absence until after he was about to enter the school. He quickly entered through the doors and grabbed his bag and switched his shoes.
Ayato then walked out the front doors of the school and walked home.
