OMORI and his friends get in a taxi and are driven through the DEEP WELL until they stop at a section of the highway that contains shops and restaurants. "Welp, this is your guy's stop. If your friend was anywhere in the DEEP WELL, he'd probably be here." the taxi driver says as OMORI and his friends exit the car. They see plenty of billboards advertising the LAST RESORT on the highway as well as some gators doing road repair. They see some sea folk walking on the edge of the highway and see a giant yellow submarine that appears to be a restaurant.

AUBREY sees someone in the distance walking down the highway. Her eyes widen. "Hey... Isn't that... SWEETHEART?" she says. "HEY, SWEETHEART!! REMEMBER US!? We're the kids who almost ruined your wedding!" KEL yells happily.

SWEETHEART turns towards them and rolls her eyes. "What? You four again!? Why do you keep showing up?" she says arrogantly. "So... how's married life treating ya?" asks KEL. SWEETHEART chuckles. "Married life is a joke! I ended relations with that pitiful excuse of a Captain a long time ago!" laughs SWEETHEART.

"But... your wedding was literally yesterday." KEL says confused. "Oh, no... Does that mean that you and SPACE HUSBAND are..." AUBREY says hesitantly. "Hmph! He's SPACE EX-HUSBAND now for all I care!" SWEETHEART says dismissively. "Ouch... That poor guy..." whispers KEL. "Alas! My journey has gone full circle. It is more obvious to me now than ever that my perfect suitor does not exist!" SWEETHEART says dramatically.

"Don't say that, SWEETHEART! I'm sure your soulmate is out there somewhere!" says HERO. "Oh, my sweet HERO! How I've longed for your voice!" SWEETHEART says romantically. "But no... I must refrain. I've already decided my path. Searching for a suitor is much too old-fashioned for me... So I've decided that I will simply make one!" she yells.

"W-What? M-Make a suitor? Is that even possible!?" HERO says shocked. "By regular people means no! But a wealthy person, such as myself, does not abide by such rules! I'm going someplace only filthy rich people, like myself, can afford... To a family of sea witches that specialize in clients with... special demands." SWEETHEART says in an entitled tone. "Toodle-loo, peasants! I'm late for my appointment!" she says as laughs at them and continues walking down the highway.

"So... should we follow her... or what?" asks KEL. "I feel like every time SWEETHEART shows up, something bad happens." says AUBREY. "Yeah... When it comes to disaster... she's in a league of her own." says HERO.

They continue walking down the highway. The further they walk, the more desolate it becomes until they see no other people. They stop and look around for a moment. HERO spots MARI having a picnic on the side of the desolate highway alone. "Hey, MARI!" he yells. MARI smiles and waves at them as they run up to her picnic blanket and sit down. They all grab food and drinks out of the picnic basket. "I can't believe we really made it all the way to the end of the highway." HERO says exhausted.

"But you did... and you should all be proud!" MARI says happily. "There is a bridge further ahead that leads to this place called DEEPER WELL... Word is that DEEPER WELL has been around for a long time but the bridge wasn't there until recently. Who knows what's on the other side?" she says.

"Do you think that's where BASIL is?" AUBREY asks sadly. "We don't know for sure... but there's only one way to find out!" HERO says as he stands up. "Thanks for the food and directions, MARI!" he says as they begin to walk further down the highway. "Anytime! Have fun and be careful!" she yells as they walk off.

They walk until they see a bridge spanning over a massive trench. The bridge is very long and they can't see the other side. They begin walking across while looking at the pitch-black trench below them.

They walk for a long time as their surroundings start to get darker and darker. They walk further and all light has disappeared. They eventually reach the end of the bridge and the only light comes from the few bioluminescent plants and animals around them.
