A/N this is a fluff oneshot of me and my bestest friend who is like the brother I never had and it's in the middle of a war. It's during a war because there's fireworks going in right now and it's kinda scaring me because it sounds like bombs exploding.

Kayz' P.O.V.

I sat in the corner of a cement room, a ten-ish feet underground. My knees were hugged to my chest as I shook in fear of the war going on up overhead. There was a loud screeching sound and I looked over at the door.

It was Dylan. Thank god. A small smile crept its way onto my face but was quickly whisked away by a bomb exploding nearby, resulting into me screaming and shaking violently. I was only nine, while my brother, Dylan, was sixteen and much braver then I.

He closed and locked the door and ran to my side, put my in his lap and softly swayed side to side, softly humming an old song, long forgotten within the wreckage of the walls of our old home.

Soon, I calmed down and just sat in his lap, snuggled into his chest in the calm quiet of our underground home. He kissed my forehead and placed me on the mattress which we shared, said a small "see ya soon" and once again left me alone.

I was quite used to this, being that the war has been going on for a few years now. I grabbed Alex, my teddybear which was seated against the wall and held it close, being that without Dylan, he was my only other source of comfort.

It was an old, violet and ocean blue teddybear, which had stitches on his face which were similar to mine. I had a pretty big scar which went across my face from the top left to the bottom right and another on my right cheek , going up from the first scar to just under my right eye.

Dylan did that just for me and even taught me how to do things like that on my own.

Recently, I had found some fabric while my big brother took me out for a walk. I found some white fabric, black elastic and some red ribbon. I stitched it up together to make a small mask for Alex, which also matches the hockey mask that I've had since birth.

Another bomb had stricken the ground a lot more closer to our home. I screamed and buried my face into Alex, as more and more bombs exploded around the area. Pretty soon, I was bawling my eyes out, scared that they would break through the concrete.

I screamed into Alex as yet another bomb, this time directly above me, had exploded and rumbled everything around me. A moment later, I felt arms wrap around my shaking figure once again and slowly rock side to side, and a voice softly humming the calming lullaby.

Instantly, I knew it was Dylan and pushed my face into his chest and wrapped my arms around him tightly. He softly rubbed circles into my back as I nearly started hyperventilating.

Soon, my breathing levelled out and I was sitting in his lap once again, as the bombs have stopped falling. My eyes started to droop and Dylan must've seen, cause he lied us down while keeping me close to him.

"Night night, Kayz" he whispered into my hair.

"Na... night... Dilly..." I mumbles out, snuggling further into his chest, finally allowing sleep to over come my consciousness.

My big brothers always there when I need him most. Even if his body is strewn somewhere outside, carelessly thrown to the side by a bomb just as a two year old to one of their stuffies.

Not even death can separate the bond between brother and sister.

A/N okay... THAT TOOK A TURN... basically... um remember the bomb right overhead? Thats when Dilly Died... yes, if you're reading this, I did that mostly because of the things going on in my head.
