(Y/N), code name La Ruffiana. The Fourth of the Twelve Fatui Harbingers. (This means, every rank under 4 is moved to the lower number under them. If Tartaglia is No.11, he is moved to No.12 because he has to keep that low-ranker title.)
A pitiful blaze butterfly that continued to fly in a snow storm... that's what I see. No matter how many times it stumbles or falls, it will only know how to step forward. Trying its best to keep its flare in the cold.
Columbina sang and hummed, embracing the cold of the stone coffin. She closed her eyes and smiled softly as she hummed Roselyn's song to heart. The light from above made her look like an angel with her white clothes and accessories.
But believe me when I say that she's far from an angel.
"We are gathered here today to remember our dear comrade. In honor of her sacrifice, all work should halt for half a day as the nation mourns her passing." The small old man, named Pulcinella, announced. It's obvious that he cared for Roselyn but this is merely an event that will be forgotten tomorrow.
A low chuckle came from a man with raven hair, giving a cold smile that could match a blizzard. "Merely half a day... People say the Northland Bank's true currencies are blood and tears. But Mayor, even speaking as a banker, that sounds a little unconscionable." Pantalone, only thinking about what's to gain, for he is certain that he has nothing to lose. A pathetic man, if you want me to summarize it.
A woman with white hair and streaks of black stood forward. "Rosalyne died in a foreign land..." She paused, sending glares to Pantalone. "But you heartless businessmen and dignitaries always have a convenient excuse to remain in the comfort of your homeland... You couldn't hope to understand so why don't you keep your mouths shut! We don't want to make the children cry..." Arlecchino, a woman of jokes. Well, that's what her name stands for but her personality says the opposite.
The child scoffed, crossing his arms in resentment. "Hey, c'mon now, even I don't think this is the right time or place for a fight." Tartaglia, is the lowest of the ranks. Treat him like a child if you must, it will surely be worth it. But all fun comes to an end if he gets irritated.
A woman with ash blond hair chuckled. Sandrome, her small and frail form laid on a large golem behind her. "Utterly risible!" Oh, but calling her small and frail might put you to death's door. However, you might say I'm an exception.
I scoffed, adjusting my gloves to warm me up from the cold. These people really know how to provoke someone. "Put yourselves in fights as much as you like, but we can't afford to decrease in numbers. Not only have we lost a member, but we also have a rat that got away." Praise me for my talent in creating metaphors but a rat won't describe him for his betrayal.
Arlecchino sighed, opening her mouth to full-on rebuttal of your statement but was interrupted by Capitano.
"Yes..." Il Capitano agreed but shook his head. "However, it is not the time to scrutinize small matters such as falling in numbers." I rolled my eyes. Does he dare to call this a small matter? Being short on men means more work to pass on to you. But he doesn't need to worry about that considering he's one of the tops in the ranks.
"Though her methods tarnished her honor, Lohefalter's sacrifice is a great pity. Her loss shall not hinder our progress. But Dottore..." Capitano paused, turning away from me to face Doctor. "What of Scaramouche and the Gnosis from Inazuma?"
"Conventional wisdom holds that Divine Knowledge cannot be rationally comprehended. After conquering the Divine Gaze, the rat will make his next move." Dottore, or Doctor if you respect him enough to call him that, spoke as he looked my way the moment he said 'rat'.
"It's time to end tonight's foolish theatrics. Right now, you have no captive audience." A sudden voice spoke, approaching the stone coffin where our trusted comrade, La Signora, resided. I walked up to the coffin and so did they. "Let every worthy sacrifice be carved in ice, and with this nation endure for all time." We all bowed in respect. "In the name of Her Majesty, the Tsaritsa, we will seize authority from the gods..."
We all prepared to leave the cathedral, glancing at the coffin, whether it could be pity, sympathy, or even hatred, I said my final goodbyes to Roselyn Lohefalter. We shared small sweet memories. It was fun while it lasted.
I stared at Columbina, waiting for her to stop staring at the coffin. "Columbina, let's go." I ordered. She glanced at me and smiled softly before standing beside me as we walked out of the now abandoned chapel.
I glanced up at the sky, seeing the northern lights, or aurora borealis if you may. For once, it was peaceful but that peace would soon turn into a storm and tarnish all in its way.
"Absolute peace." Pierror, the first fatui harbinger, continued. "Such is the gift from the Tsaritsa, such is Her Majesty's benevolence." Ice covered the cathedral, and ice spikes appeared on the ground, surrounding the cathedral. And inside laid her coffin, engulfing it with eternal cold and ice.
"Now you rest in this coffin, encased in layer upon layer of ice. But, Rosalyne, I promise you... Your final resting place will be the entirety of the "Old World"..."
Bonus: If Il Capitano didn't interrupt Arlecchino.
Arlecchino sighed, "Like you're the one to talk. You're the one who had affairs with the Abyss behind her Majesty's back." She spoke, rebutting your statement.
"If I may interject, you're the one who benefits from betraying others... is that not correct?" I shot back. If we're talking about the highest possibility of someone among us deceiving and cheating, you will come second behind Scaramouche. But I don't dare to say that out loud...
Of course, I would come in third. My code name does stand for ruffian... a scoundrel, a thug, a rogue, and all the wicked names you could think of.
La Ruffiana. A boisterous, brutal fellow, one ready to commit any crime.
