Chapter 10: Promises

(Y/N's POV)
"Dad please I'm sorry it wasn't Austin's fault I invited him over" I said tearing up. "Y/N I'm very disappointed in you. You know I forbid him from seeing you!" My dad scolded me. "But you never forbid me from seeing him and I don't care what you say dad. I love him and you can't stop me from that!" I yelled back. "Well I'm not wasting my time on some teen romance. I'm going to ask Michele to marry me!" I was so surprised on what my dad had just told me. I couldn't date my step brother. But I loved austin so much and I wasn't just going to let him go.
(Austin's POV)
"Sir I take full responsibility for being here" I said. "Austin what are you doing" Y/N asked. "Trust me Y/N!" I said back and then continued. "I told Y/N that I never promised you that I couldn't see her because you just forbid it. I'm sorry sir but I love your daughter and you can't change that. They way I feel about her is different than I've ever felt before. I'm sorry sir but I don't promise to stop seeing your daughter. I love her!" I yelled at Y/N's dad. "Austin you have really disappointed me. I'm going to have to let your mom know about all of this. Soon enough you 2 will have broken up and I will never get your mom back." Y/N's dad said. "Break up?" I said. "Um no I don't think so and I have something to prove that" I said nervously. Y/N was still sitting beside me and her dad was watching me with his eyes wide. I looked over at Y/N and pulled out a small box. It was a promise ring!!
(Y/N's POV)
"Oh my gosh austin!" I said nervous but happy. "Now I know were to young but maybe in about 5 years we can you know..." Austin said nervously. "But you have to promise me that you will marry me in a few years. I love you Y/N and you have truly changed my life! So will you take this promise ring?" Austin asked and then gave my dad a glare. I thought about it for awhile and just sat there. Before I could say anything my dad threw a punch at austin and hit him right in the face! "Dad what are you doing?" I screamed. "Y/N that was for your own good" my dad yelled back. Austin was knocked out on the floor and the side of his head was bleeding and my dad had left the room. Tears were streaming down my face and I didn't know what to do. Finally I called Alex.
*phone call*
Y/N: Alex you need to get over here right now. Austin gave me a promise ring and my dad punched him and now austin is knocked out bleeding. I need your help!
Alex: ok my I'll be right over. In the meantime just call the police!
*end of phone call*
I called the police and Alex came and picked me and austin up to take him to the hospital. We rushed over to emergency and austin was taken into surgery immediately.
