"Are you going to let me go?"
"No."
A loud sigh heaves behind you. You speed up making him grunt.
"At least tell me where we're going."
"No." You snap, rounding a corner and quickly going down the flight of stairs, taking two steps at a time. You hear the heavy and untimed thump of his feet as he shuffles to keep up.
"Talk to me." He calls your name telling you to stop. Suddenly his steps stop and you feel the whiplash jolting your whole body as your wrist gives a loud crick. You smash backward into his chest. You turn to glare at him. "Where are we going?" You stare at Logan, seeing the annoyance and the worry in his face.
"What? You don't trust me?" You snap.
"No!" He shouts, raising his arms up as if it's obvious.
"Fine! Then head back to Charles and cower in this fortress for as long as you like!" You hiss and stomp off. In one stride he's caught your arm.
"Stop! I'm coming with you "
You try to shake his hand off your arm. "You're a fucking hypocrite! You just said you don't trust me!"
"Yeah, I don't fucking trust you! That doesn't mean I won't follow you wherever the fuck you take me! If that makes me a fucking hypocrite then that's what I am!"You glare at each other for a while and you sigh. He lets go of your arm. After he lets go, you quickly walk away. You hear him behind you as he follows. You walk up to a door and press in the code. There's a click as it unlocks. You reach to grab the handle but already there's a thick muscly hand there pulling it open. You don't look at him as you walk into the room.
"We've gotta hurry before those two get here." You say, grabbing a set of keys hanging. The keys to your favorite.
"Please tell me we're taking this one." You turn to look at him straddling a huge bigbike. Your bike. Technically Scott's but...meh. He's looking up at you hopefully. Seeing your expression, the look slips away. You sigh and toss the keys. His face breaks out into a huge smirk, jingling the keys. Seeing his smile, it makes you smile too, almost forgetting the awkward moment that had happened. Almost.
You quickly hop to the back as he starts up the engine. It comes to life with a purr and he laughs. It's a nice laugh. You grimace at the thought.
"Do you need a jacket?" He asks. You look at your shirt. It's a long sleeve but the sun's already gone down. He sets both feet on the ground, the bike still going and takes off his jacket, handing it to you.
"Thanks." You say slipping it on.
"We better hurry." He urges and you quickly hop over the back. As soon as you hold on to him, the engine quickly turns into a roar and your out onto the gravel road.
As he makes it onto the main road, your soon thankful for the jacket. The cool wind whips into your face and you hide behind his back. With the huge jacket around you, you can smell him. It's a mix of tobacco, a strong leather smell, pretty sure that's booze, and the smell of lavender?
You sniff his shirt. It had to be the detergent they used at the school. Underneath you could smell his skin. It wasn't exactly a clean smell. It was scented with forest, dust, grass, sweat and grime. But it still smelled like skin.
It was different from Charles. He always smelled clean. And Erik was always peppermint. You took one last sniff and decided that the strongest was probably the tobacco and leather.
"I can't breathe." You hear him laugh. You realize how tight you've been holding on and ease up.
"Sorry." You hear him chuckle. "You smell nice."
"....."
Your face heats up. You look to see his ears are pink. "I'm sorry!"
He laughs. "It's ok. It's-it's a nice compliment. Thanks." You ride quietly for a while. "What's this?" You hear him mumble and there's a click. You feel your heart pause.
"LOGAN DON'T!"
Too late.
You squeeze your arms around him as the bike kicks off. The wind whips past you so hard it's painful. You manage to take in a deep breath.
"KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD!" You scream.
All you hear back is "Bsbsbhsbashhkisgh."
You roll your eyes. "FLIP THE SWITCH BACK!"
It takes a few moments before the bike suddenly goes back to the speed it was doing before. The bike stops suddenly as he brakes. You unwrap your stiff arms and lean back, catching your breath. You hear Logan doing the same, except he sounds like he's run a marathon.
Between pants he manages to talk. "You- hak - could - huh - have - huk - said - kak - some - thing."
"I was supposed to drive." You huff out.
"Why - hah - didn't you?"
"You looked too adorable to say no to."
"........"
"........"
"Adorable?" He chuckles making you pink. He turns and looks at you seriously. "I'm sorry for shouting at you back there."
You shake your head. "No. I started it. I'm sorry."
"It's ok."
"........"
"........"
"I think we went past the train station."
"Yes."
"Let's head back."
"I'll drive."
"Thank you."
