Looking up from the floor, I quickly glanced at the three individuals across from me. I had just met these individuals and confirmed a major tragic event, that effected a lot of people. I needed to gage their reactions. Sweyn's face held no emotion, but you could tell he was clenching his jaw and his fists at his side. His sister Nalimi also had her fists tightened and you could see the anger reflecting in her blue eyes.

Surprised by their animosity towards my father, I quickly glanced over at Princess Agnes. Her mouth was hanging open has if she wanted to speak. The rest of her features were contorted with shock, and her eyes reflected that she now understood. Although she knew that certain atrocities had taken place, causing this unexpected journey to the Tower, she now understood why Riftan would go to such an extreme, and how dangerous my father truly was.

That one sentence had the power to change everything. Agnes gaze soon became one of pity, a look that I was all too familiar with. Not wanting to subject myself to any further questions I walked over to the doorway. Alec had left the door open and not wanting any more personal information to be easily accessible, I quickly closed the door. Turning around quickly, I leaned my back against the wooden door, trapping the others in the room with me. Although I am positive that they would have no difficulty forcing me to move out of their way, I stood my ground.  I allowed myself to scan over them once more. Princess Agnes's face no longer held pity but worry, and Nalimi and Sweyn's held a determination. Knowing they would write to my uncles of my confirmation, I continued to block the doorway.

"N-now that you know this information, I-I ask that you keep it t-to yourselves. E-even my husband d--does not know a-about my m-mothers u-unfortunate passing. I-I am working on a p-plan to expose my f-father, but I want to d-do so without losing anyone and e-everyone I care about. H-he has taken too m-much from me and the people I-I care about."

I continued blocking the door, letting my silence imply I expected an answer, before I would let them leave. We continued staring at each other, and after what seemed like an eternity princess Agnes spoke up.

"Maximillian, I will agree to keep this to myself for the time being, but what exactly do you plan to do? If you go through with the trial the truth will be told, and all of the nobles will find out. That includes Riftan, and Riftan almost killed him once, you know he will try again once he hears of this."

Nodding my head I acknowledged her statement. "I-I will worry a-about that when we g-get there. B-but right now I-I would appreciate your s-silence on the s-subject."

Princess Agnes sighed, her shoulders drooping. " Very well, I will keep silent for now."

Pleased with her promise I turned my attention to the two siblings lurking in the corner, like caged animals. Raising my eyebrow and placing my hand on my hip I waited for their answer. I cannot have them stirring up trouble, while I worked out how to protect those involved. After another few moments of silence both of the siblings bowed their heads, "we will keep it to ourselves until you have gone through with your plan."

Eyeing them once more, I pushed myself off of the door and moved out of the way.

"I-I will let you know of my intentions l-later Princess Agnes."

I gave her a knowing look. She was not only elegant, but smart has well. After having spent time with her, I knew she would have a million questions for me later. She always pressed the subject until she was satisfied with the intended results. Maybe that's why Riftan was always agitated with her. Stifling a chuckle, I went over to the table and took a seat. Nalimi followed suit and intertwined her fingers has she rested her elbows on the table.

"If I may, my brother and I would be happy to assist you with your plan... Roem has a whole despises your father. We were not able to do much after the incident. Roem and Wedon have been peaceful and taking up arms against Duke Croyso would have caused problems."
