The Urban Legend Killer

CHAPTER 6

"Cho's death wasn't an accident," Taehyung announced as he walked into the room.

"You found something?" Jin asked.

Taehyung walked further into the room as he spoke and tossed a file on the table in front of everyone, "You suggested we look into Cho's case as she's linked to our investigation. Mrs. Sasaki was right, the investigating officers did nothing," he stated as Jin picked up the file to read through it, "They did little to no investigation, the moment they knew she had a mental disability, they chalked her death up to an accident without any proof to the fact," Taehyung removed a usb from his pocket and inserted it into the nearby laptop, "If they bothered to look at the cameras they would've seen her physically thrown in the pool."

When the video ended Nakamura looked at his partner, face serious, "Let's bring 'em in."

"I spoke to Mrs. Sasaki about her whereabouts during murders, get an alibi, just to completely rule her out as a suspect. After the death of her daughter she went to stay with her sister, Akari Li, in Osaka. She didn't return until a week after the double murder. For the last two, she said she was home in bed. The apartment security confirmed buzzing her in the building long before our murders took place, security cameras back that up. At no point did she leave the complex once she entered. She's clear." Namjoon reported.

"What about any friends, did you ask if Cho had anyone she was close to?" Jin asked.

Namjoon nodded, "Said, though she was grateful there were some kids that were kind to her daughter, Cho never spoke of a friend. The only person Cho was close to was her cousin, Chizu, who saw her as a little sister. The girls were very close, almost inseparable. She said her niece was just as devastated at her daughter's death."

"Where is she now?" Jin asked.

"She attends university here in Tokyo." Namjoon answered, a knowing look in his eyes.

"We need to talk to Chizu Li, she just became our prime suspect."

Detectives Nakamura, Tanaka, and Agents Kim and Jeon entered the homeroom of Ichiro Takahashi, Haruki Watanabe, Hiroshi Li, and Aoi Yamamoto, led by the principal, who pulled the teacher aside for a private word.

The students watched in curiosity and fascination as the four men moved into the room and to the back of the classroom, stopping at the desks of four of their classmates.

"Ichiro Takahashi, Haruki Watanabe, Hiroshi Li, and Aoi Yamamoto, your all under arrest for the murder of Cho Sasaki."

The whispering of their classmates grew as the teens were escorted from the room in handcuffs.

"Chizu Li, 19 years old, student at the University of Tokyo, studying mental health. She resides at Urbia Monzennakacho apartment complex." Jimin reported.

"Hoseok and I will head to the university."

Namjoon nodded at Yoongi's statement, "Jimin and I will take her residence."

The parents of the teens, were confused and outraged at their children's arrest for murder.

"Our children would never do what you're accusing them of detectives, agents."

"Did you know your kids were brutally bullying a classmate, constantly harassing and assaulting her?"

"What?" said another.

Nakamura nodded to Tanaka, who plugged a usb into the laptop they'd brought into the interview room. Everyone was silent as the video played, the parents' eyes growing more and more shocked at what they saw...

They chased her into the indoor pool area, dragged her from her hiding place in the equipment room as she cried and screamed in fear, struggling to free herself from their hold. They circled her, pushing her from one to another, laughing at her, calling her derogatory names. One of the girls tripped her, causing Cho to fall hard on the floor. 

The adults watched as their daughters chanted "whore" over and over, laughing as the boys took turns holding Cho down as they forced oral sex on her, ejaculating all over her before grabbing her arms and legs, tossing her into the pool. They watched as their kids laughing turned to fear as they saw Cho scream and splash around in distress, her head disappearing under the water over and over again. 

They watched as instead of saving her, ran from the room in a panic, quickly turning off the lights and leaving her to drown.

The teens sat in a holding cell, the girl silently crying, the boys nervous for what was to come. They scrambled to their feet when they heard footsteps approaching, the two detectives coming into view, followed by their parents. The look of anger and disappointment in their fathers' eyes, and teary red eyes of their mothers', had them all lowering their heads.
