Marco informed me that the new waiter's name was Jean Kirschtein. He was 19 years old, just like me and Marco, and he was working in that bar to get some money to go to college. Marco informed me also that he already knew Jean from high school and that he used to have a crush on him, even if I could say from his way of talking about that boy that his feeling towards him were still the same. I couldn't blame him since that Jean Kirschtein was a handsome man.
Anyway, during the latest days I decided to go more frequently to that bar. It was still my favourite bar, after all. Also, I liked to check out on Marco to notice if he still had feelings for his colleague.

While I was drinking my hot chocolate I was keeping my eyes on the new guy. He never came to my table during those days because Marco always took care of my orders, but I didn't mind.
Jean Kirschtein was now serving some other clients that were sitting at the tables of the bar. I loved his way of moving among the tables, he seemed to dodge all the furnishings with a superhuman attitude.

An old woman was going to pay at the bar counter and she accidentally walked towards the waiter. They collided just like I did with him the first day and I was expecting to see him lose everything on the ground but he surprisingly held every thing he had on the tray with a quick movement.
"I'm sorry!" whispered the old lady.
"It's fine" smiled the waiter "did you get hurt, ma'am?"
The woman smiled.
"Oh no, I'm fine, dear"
The old lady paid and then she moved to the exit, that was near my table. I followed her with my glance. She smiled and I heard her whisper:
"What a good guy he is, there aren't many that kind nowadays"

I moved my look again on the waiter. I had already finished my hot chocolate but I didn't want to return the cup that early.
Jean was still serving the other tables but then, unexpectedly, he moved in my direction.
I quickly stood up and took my cup to run away from the waiter.
"Hey, miss" he called out, a little smirk on his face.
I freezed. I turned my head to look at him.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"I can take that, if you want" he said, pointing a finger to the cup.
"It's fine, I can do it by myself" I answered.
The waiter widened his eyes, then he smirked more.
"Aren't you the girl that made me fall everything on the floor during my first day?" he asked with the cocky smile on his face.
"It was your first day? I noticed" I said, rolling my eyes.
"What do you mean?" he asked, becoming suddenly serious.
"You bumped into a client. You should pay more attention when you work" I said.
The waiter looked confused at me, then he smirked again.
"Wait, are you Y/N L/N? Marco told me about you... and about your hate towards men, am I right?"
I looked away and walked to the bar counter, leaving my cup on it.
The waiter followed me.
"Are you always so grumpy with everyone?" he asked, putting his hands on the counter.
"Most of the time" I answered "but usually only with men"
"What makes you hate men so much, if I can ask?"
I looked up at him.
"No, you can't" I turned my head back to my cup "I have to pay" I said, concluding our conversation.
The boy chuckled, then he moved behind the bar counter.
"It's 2.30$, dear" he said, typing on the cashier.
I gave him the money and he put it into the cashier, then he gave me the receipt.
"Here we are, sweetheart"
"Don't call me like that" I said, taking the receipt from his hands.
"I won't, only if you tell me why you were checking me out all this time" he said, puttin his elbow on the counter and his chin on the palm of his hand, looking at me from below with shining eyes and a cocky smile on his face.
I felt my heart beating faster. He looked so damn hot in that position.
So, he noticed I was controlling him...
"I wasn't checking you out" I replied, looking away.
The waiter chuckled, raising his head from his hand.
"Oh, sorry then. See ya, Y/N"
I waved casually my hand at him, before leaving the bar.

"So... you still have a crush on him, don't you?"
"I'm not really sure, but I think you're right"

Marco and I were sitting at a bar and we were drinking a smoothie. Marco had finished his turn almost half an hour ago so I decided to wait for him.

"How can you be not sure? I mean, don't you feel your cheeks burning or your heart beating faster when you're near him?" I asked, taking a sip from my banana smoothie.
Marco shrugged.
"Well, yeah... I think. I mean, I feel my face warming and my heartbeat increasing but I don't think I feel the same sensations as when I was in high school" he answered, taking a sip from his strawberry smoothie as well.
I nodded, while I was feeling the sweat fall along my face. It was a hot summer day and the sun was shining up on our heads and there wasn't even a breath of wind against our faces.
"Is this guy gay?" I asked, sipping my smoothie.
Marco shook his head. I noticed a drop of sweat fall along his forehead. The hot sun was making us sweat like never before and also our smoothies weren't fresh anymore and they were getting warmer under the sunshine.
"Nope, he is completely hetero. He often likes to flirt with different girls" he replied, drinking his smoothie.
I nodded.
I had already noticed this behaviour during that morning at the bar. His flirty smile and his tone of voice suggested me that he was trying to flirt with me.
"Different girls?" I asked.
"I think he will continue to do it until he'll find an actual girlfriend" chuckled Marco.
"So... you have no chances, I guess" I said, smiling a bit.
Marco gave me a defeated smile.
"I don't" he said.

We remained at the bar until 6.00 p.m. Then the sky started to get cloudy (finally!). We decided to leave the bar and walk towards our houses.
We kept talking about different things. I always liked to open up with Marco, he seemed to always understand what I was saying and I liked his way of giving advices.

I started to feel some drops on my head.
"Is... is it starting to rain?" I asked, looking up at the cloudy sky.
"Well, it was time! Ahah!" laughed Marco.
I smiled at him.
Some fresh air was exactly what we needed to freshen up. It was also relaxing walking under the soft rain.

Then, a lightening and a thunder. The drops began to get bigger and started to fall more frequently.
They were dropping on our heads like little bullets and we couldn't walk under the rain anymore.
"We have to hide somewhere!" I exclaimed, regretting the fact that I never put an umbrella in my bag.
"You can come to my house!" suggested Marco "it's not far from here!"
"Are you sure?" I asked.
Marco nodded.
