ONE WEEK LATER..
Back in Seoul, South Korea there was Lalisa Manoban. Walking alone in the warm yet breezy streets of her Best Friend's neighborhood.
In her hands, she was holding a bouquet of freshly picked Hyacinth that was one of her best friend's favorite flowers and a box of Vanilla Ice Cream from one of also her best friend's favorite brands.
She tried to reach Jennie after what happened at school last week but Jennie wasn't answering her calls or messages. So, Lisa decided to give her some space to cool off.
'I hope this would cheer up my Nini' she thought the smile was set upon her face as she approached the wooden type door of Kim's residence and knocked. But she was surprised to be greeted by an unfamiliar young girl a few inches shorter than her.
"Hello, Can I help you?" The girl curiously raised her eyebrow while she looked up at Lisa.
"Uh-Hi" she awkwardly spoke. "I'm here for Jennie.Jennie Kim."
"I think you're in the wrong house Unnie. I've been living here for a whole week and I don't know anyone named Jennie" the short brunette informed her.
"What do you mean? Where are the Kims?"Lisa asked confusingly. Peeking from behind the short brunette, seeing the house was indeed empty.
"Oh! Do you mean the first owners of this house? Yeah they actually left a week ago" she explained and Lisa felt her heart dropped to her stomach.
"W-What? Where did they go?!" Lisa asked but the girl shrugged her shoulders.
"Dunno. They just sold this house for a fair amount then left"
"Shit!Shit" She mumbled in frightened tone. "Here!keep this. It's yours now" she quickly shoved the bouquet and bag of Ice cream making the girl look at her in shock.
Lisa ran and left the house as fast as she can. Before she left she heard the short brunette mumble her the word "thanks" in a awkward way.
While she was running she was struggling to pull off her phone from the pockets of her denim jeans. She started to scroll for Jennie's number to reach her.
No answer.
She tried again.
No answer.
She tried more attempts. Praying she will answer one of her calls but still. Jennie wasn't answering.
She tried calling Jisoo and their mother but none of them were picking up their fucking phone.
Lisa gave up and fell on her knees on the floor of the sidewalk. She slapped her face with her palms covering her eyes and felt guilt and pain.
As tears were forming from her eyes. She couldn't help but blame herself for not being there for Jennie when she needed her the most.
A flashback came across her mind. It was from last week. When Somi bullied her and she couldn't protect her or comfort her that day.
She was so so so stupid.
She couldn't protect the person she love. The person who she fell in love with when they were little.
Her sweet, innocent, joyful, Nini.
Now here she is. On the ground, crying being hopeless and helpless. She felt like she lost the other part of her.
Not even a sorry or a scoop of Vanilla ice cream could bring her back with her.
"I'm sorry Nini. I'm so so fucking sorry.."
