"Y/N! Will you please just listen to me?"

"No! What the fuck is wrong with you?"

"Y/N-"

"I can't believe you! After everything I've done for our relationship? You wanna just throw that away because of your job?!"

"Please- You know how important Hextech is to me! I would rather end this now before-"

"Before what?"

He stood in silence.

"Before what, Viktor?!"

He cringed slightly at your words.

"Before you finally admit that you care more about your work than ever did me..?"

"Y/N... You know that's not true!"

You stood in shock for a moment, tears blurring your vision

"It's just- I've been so stressed lately I just can't take it anymore this is exhausting."

"Did it even occur to you that you were hurting me too? You didn't call, didn't text. Nothing. You abandoned me for weeks for your work-"

"Please Y/N, just listen-"

"No, you listen. I love you Viktor. I can't lose you too."

His eyebrows furrowed. His eyes were glossy with tears.

"You promised me! Viktor! You promised me this would be forever!"

And yet he was silent.

You stood, almost paralyzed. Was this real? Was it all just going to go to waste?

"Well... I hope you're happy."

-end of flashback-

It's now been months since the fight. Viktor and Jayce are talking during their break.

"Viktor are you ok?" Jayce asked.

Instantly, Viktor was snapped out of his thoughts.

"Oh, uh yes. I'm fine Jayce."

"You sure? Ever since you and Y/N broke up you've been distant."

He cringed slightly at her name.

Realizing this probably wasn't going to be a subject Viktor would willingly talk about, Jayce changed the subject.

"So I was thinking maybe we could go out for a drink after work, I know a really good bar"

Viktor nodded.

"Alright then."
