Veer, tumaara aur Bani ka equation aaj takh samaj mein nahi aaya. Pehle ladho aur fir flowers aur chocolate khareedo. Tapish said to Veer as he pulled into the driveway. Veer looked down at Bani's favorite flowers, light pink roses, and the chocolate-covered strawberries. He smiled and thought back to the last text he sent her which read Dinner ka lena. Mera intezaar matth karna. Veer? Tum sunn rahe ho na? Abh tum bass chup chaap Bani ko flowers aur chocolate de dena aur maafi maang lena. No more fighting. Okay? Before Tapish could talk some sense into his brother he had jumped out of the car and was now running towards the front door with a confident smile on his face.

Bani was in the bathroom applying her lipstick when she heard Veer come in. She knew it was him because he had a habit of throwing his phone on the nightstand and sitting down with a thud on the bed. It was already nine pm and all day they had barely talked to one another. Bani finished getting ready and opened the door now. Veer was sitting on the bed with the flowers and chocolate by his side when he looked up and saw what she was wearing. She had on nude strappy heels, a white sequenced dress that reached just below her ass with spaghetti straps, and a slight on the left thigh. The front was as low as her most revealing saree blouses and the rear exposed her entire back. She had her hair in waves and parted in the middle along with winged eyeliner and pink lip gloss. Veer also noticed she was wearing the same earrings that he had bought her the day Jai kidnapped him. He smiled thinking that perhaps this was her way of making it up to him.

Wow! Kya bhaat hai gharwali? Dress and all huh? He said with a smirk on his face. Bani rolled her eyes and sat down on the bed and bent down to put her heels on. Kyun? Nahin pehn sakhti? She asked. Veer scooched closer to her, put his arm behind her, and whispered in her ear Of course pehn sakhti ho sweetheart. Lekin agli baar kaali ya fir laal pehn lena. Lagta hai meri gharwali apne gharwale ko impress karna chaahti hai. Once he said that Bani pushed him to the side and glared at him. She couldn't believe that despite all the hurtful things he said to her he still had the audacity to think that she would want anything to do with him. As she did, she watched Veer in the mirror while he looked here and there saying things under his breath. She giggled at how adorable he looked right now and just then spotted the flower and chocolates. She noticed that they were her favourite pink roses and chocolate-covered strawberries from the bakery she used to work at as a teenager. She recalled telling Tapish about it days prior and caught Veer eavesdropping. Since that day he kept telling her that one day he will buy her the strawberries and she will finally admit how she feels. Yeh phool aur chocolates? Bani whispered to herself while turning around to look at them properly. Veer looked over at the gifts and then back up at her. Tumein kya? Yeh...yeh maine...maine Mayuri ke liye khareedi. Ha! Mayuri! Veer called out to her.

Bani flared her nostrils and stormed up to Veer as he stood there with a fake smile. Mayuri? Aggar uss chudail ka naam liya humaare kamre mein toh- Veer gasped and covered his mouth in exaggeration. Yeh humaara kamra kabh se hua? Mayuri! Where the hell are you?! Veer called out again, this time louder. Bani turned Veer around and lightly smacked his chest. Bass! Veer threw his head back in laughter and leaned into Bani's ear as he said repeatedly Mayuri...Mayuri...Mayuri...uske saath kaafi wild parties kiyi maine. Mayuri. Naam toh main loonga. Bani arched her eyebrow and gripped his collar tight. Chup! Bass karo Veeranshu! Veer tilted his head and whispered Kyun? Takleef hoti hai? Issi tarrah muje bhi takleef hoti thi jab tum uss fateechar dhabewale ka naam lehti thi. Bani looked up at Veer and softened her eyes a bit. She had a moment of vulnerability and whispered back Ha...hoti hai. Please...uska naam matth lo...Veer looked down at her face and paused for a second. He watched as her face showed all her emotions right now. Sadness, anger, nervousness. Veer wondered how a girl who had been through so much in her life was able to hide her trauma for so long. In that moment he realized something. His Bani had been hurt so much in her life, and yet here he was expecting her to give herself up to him in a matter of seconds. Of course it would take her time. But he too was tired of being thrown to the side by her time and time again. He could fight with anyone for her, but the second she'd take that Jai's name his blood would boil. He brought his hand up to caress her red cheeks but then heard something outside. It was someone honking. Bani recognized the honking pattern and brought her face up. As she did, her nose slightly touched Veer's lips and if she had looked right up at him their lips would have surely touched. Jai? Yeh toh Jai ki ghaadi lagg rahi hai. Once Veer heard her say that he stepped back and grabbed his phone. Abh jao. Apne Jaiii ke paas jao. Vaise bhi tumaare dil mein mere liye feelings toh hai nahi na? Bani glared at him and opened her mouth to say something back but Veer stormed off to the bathroom and slammed the door shut. Darvaaza toota toh vaapas tum hi lagao ge! Bani yelled back. She waited a minute to see if he would come back out and then sighed. Jai honked again and started calling her as well.
