Belinda's POV

I would have stayed there for hours if Alexia hadn't broke the kiss. The moment the connection was broken, a feeling of loss quaked through my body. I was about to whimper in protest, but bursts of love spread through me. It took me a straight moment to realize that Alexia was feeling this way, and now, it was coming to me.

As we broke apart, I looked around, flinching at the sight of the damage made. Craters of earth were sprinkled across the ground, and I definitely saw chunks missing. Thankfully, the homes seemed to be fine, and there didn't seem to be any casualtie*s.

"What the hell was that?" All of a sudden, Fernanda's voice crept into my ears, bringing back the anger. I was about to answer when my mate beat me to the punch. She literally pushed me behind her and snarled,

"That was a small glimpse of what my mate could do if she was angry. She may not be a wolf, but guess what? She can literally raise the earth with her mind. So don't you ever insinuate that your Luna is weak, Fernanda. Do you understand?" I stood transfixed at Alexia, listening to every word. How she wasn't angry with me was beyond me. I literally tried to wreck the whole pack, and somehow, she turned it into a compliment for me. "Fernanda, leave us. I need to have a few words with my mate." I smugly watched as the black haired woman tried to argue, but the Alpha command trapped her. Her grey eyes were dead on me, and I merely winked at her, reveling in the humiliation of the woman. She dared to disrespect me, and this was what she got. Serves her right. Fernanda ran from us and into another building, and as soon as she was gone, Alexia turned to her Beta and Delta. I turned as well, and I realized that I must have scared the crap out of those two. Regina was too busy staring at me in wonder while Jaime kept looking at anywhere but me. "Go to your homes. I need to speak to Belinda." They obeyed, and soon I found myself alone with the woman. The hopeful part of me was hoping that we would just ignore the damage around us and that we would resume the kissing. "Belinda, follow me." I watched as she began to walk away, and I followed, my heart beating hard. "Do you want to know about Fernanda? If not, I won't tell you. I just think we need to open up to each other now to avoid misunderstanding." Her tone had turned serious and matter-of-fact; now, I knew we'd have to tell each other stuff. Honestly, I hated these type of conversations. Fights usually erupted, and I didn't want to deal with one. But then again, I am a Luna now. I just have to rise to the plate. I whispered,

"I'd like to know." I hadn't been paying attention to where we were walking, but I realized we were deep in the forest, surrounded by the lush darkness. Yet, I didn't feel afraid. I knew Alexia wouldn't let anything hurt me. My heart assured me of this. As we walked, I looked around and admired the dark green and the bright yellow of the insects; various sounds filled the air, gracing us with a strange melody. I was about to say something when the woman in front of me stopped suddenly. The first thought that left my mind was that there was a threat. My eyes scanned the area, but as far as I could see, there was nothing.

It was just us women deep in the rainforest, surrounded by silence. It's wasn't uncomfortable or anything; I felt at ease like this. But I knew we weren't perfectly fine. Various emotions were coming and going between us, and the closeness of it all was suffocating. I whispered,

"Alexia-"As my voice broke the silence, everything moved faster. Next thing I knew, I was being held against a tree, lips assaulting my own. My mind went completely blank, and it took a close three seconds for me to kiss back. My hands dug themselves into her hair, and my legs were quickly lifted into the air and wrapped around her waist. We were so close each other that there wasn't a part that wasn't touching.

As we kissed, I decided to tease her, so I lightly bit her lower lip. Almost immediately, my hands were wrenched from her hair and held against my head tightly. An animalistic growl left her lips, and small tingles ran up my spine.
