Stella

Motherfu- ouch. I stub my toe while fumbling to open my apartment. The keys jingle-jangle as the door unlocks and I'm met with a warm atmosphere. Home.

I think about Zayn, how he kissed me with passion and force. Then I think about Maya, how she told me to steer clear of any mess to do with him. Now that I'm past Maya's advice, I drag my thoughts to the text that I couldn't help but notice on Zayn's phone. Irritation takes hold of me and I almost scream remembering the flash on the top part of his screen. Some Natasha had pinged a text about meeting her later at her apartment, wink wink. Of course she could just be a friend but knowing Zayn and his reputation, not to forget our first encounter, he might as well be having casual sex with her. Ohh, how far have I come from hating him to kissing him. Real progress Stella. And now I'm stuck in a loop of addiction and toxicity. I was a fool to think Zayn would ditch his old habits and that I was the only girl he was with. Sometimes, I'm so dumb and naive that I can laugh at myself. Nonetheless I remind myself of how much I hate that guy, how alike he is to my father resting aside the fact that I still crave his touch. It's just hormones and like Maya said, let a little loose. I just did that but maybe a little too loose.

.....

Anger still boils at hot temperatures as I cook dinner and consume the meal. That manwhore of a guy. He stole my innocence in exchange for some twisted game. He really needs a dose of reality, he can't just get away with fucking with me and taking me for granted, after all I'm not like his other chicks.

As I'm finishing up my dinner the doorbell rings, making me jump to my feet. It was pretty late and I wasn't expecting anyone since Maya texted me a few hours ago that she couldn't make it tonight. Who could it possibly be?

With clammy feet and a suspicious eye, I look through the keyhole. A guy dressed in a blue, red and yellow uniform. Delivery service probably. I turn the lock and open the door.

"Miss Stella?" He looks at me with an expectant smile.

"Uhh yes." Confusion drips in my words because last I remember I wasn't expecting any deliveries.

"There is a parcel for you, paid in advance." He urges towards me a sheet of paper on a clipboard, "If you could sign here please." He points on a vacant block.

I'm still confused as hell. Prepaid? It is probably a scam or maybe Maya finally ordered me that hot dress she said I would totally rock. Considering it may be the latter. I scribble my signature, smile at the guy and accept the huge box. Accessing from the size of the box, a dress would hardly take a massive box like this. I'm sure it is a scam now.

The box feels heavy in my arms too. I barely make it to the living room table without falling on back. Quickly grabbing a pair of scissors, I begin to peel the packaging. What if there is a bomb and this is a terror attack? Fear coils at my throat. Shutup Stella. You're so dumb.

Thinking positive I crack open the gigantic cardboard package. My paranoid voice is muted by surprise and utter shock, the box reveals the most expensive items ever. An iPhone, a pair of AirPods, a MacBook, and an iPad. What the actual hell?

I remove all the items from the box and spread them out on the table. Who would send me, me of all people, such loads of expensive devices? Maybe the delivery guy got it wrong. But he did take my name and I'm the only Stella in my building. What is happening? All these things are so extravagant, I can't accept them. Panic rises and I start overthink the worst case scenarios. What if I have a stalker who sent me all these things to track me? Or worse, what if somebody sent me all of this to blame me for fraud and then put me in jail?

A few minutes pass and my fascination gets the better of me. Maybe it's just a well-wisher or my fairy god mother, someone who heard my prayers. I was already saving to buy a MacBook and my morning wasn't the best since I broke my phone. I had a plan to buy a new one tomorrow anyways. But I got both the things I wanted without asking or saving for them. What a lucky day! Now that the panic has subsided and excitement blooms in my veins, I hastily unbox all the contents of the parcel. I start by making ids and exploring features.

After a while of playing games and clicking pictures of my art, it comes to my mind to feed Maya's contact information on my list. I fish out her number from the back of my notebook when a notification pops up.

UNKNOWN NUMBER- Pick you tomorrow morning?

An unknown number flashes on my screen. Weird. Who could it be?

STELLA- Who is this?

UNKNOWN NUMBER- Guess who

STELLA- I'm blocking you

UNKNOWN NUMBER- You forgot about the parking lot so soon?

STELLA- You son of a bitch, I'm blocking you anyways

MANWHORE- How'd you like the gift?

STELLA- What gift?

MANWHORE- The one with which you're texting me

STELLA- Wdym? It was you?

MANWHORE- Yep, all me

STELLA- Why would you?

MANWHORE- Because I was in a good mood today

STELLA- Still it is too much, I can't accept it

MANWHORE- Keep it. I was anyways getting a better discount if I got all of them together.

STELLA- You can take them back and use them yourself. I don't want them.

MANWHORE- I already have two more backups of every device I own. Be grateful I only got you one set.

STELLA- Shutup

MANWHORE- Want me to send backups too?

STELLA- Are you serious?

MANWHORE- Try me

MANWHORE- Be ready by 8

STELLA- I can drive myself

MANWHORE- How? Since your car is at Uni. Remember how I drove you back?

STELLA- Don't remind me

MANWHORE- See you in the morning

STELLA- In your dreams

MANWHORE- Forgot about that too. See you in your dreams too. This time I hope it's not in the parking lot tho;)

STELLA- Goodnight

MANWHORE- Night babygirl
