Time passed and Midoriya learned more things. The blonde didn't mind him being around, but he was fierce, loud, and quiet rude. Midoriya started calling Bakugou "Kacchan" which he didn't protest about much to the ghost's surprise. Eventually Bakugou explained why he killed his master. It was a quiet evening and they were sitting on the bank of the river underneath the sunset.

"A band of villains took down my pack, stole all tha brats includin' me after killin' our parents, and sold us to whoever offered tha highest price. I've been passed from master ta master since most fucking hate me. I decided my last one would be the last one. I've wanted out for so long and I was tired of waitin' for an opening to escape so I made one myself." Bakugou clenched his fists against his lap that he was looking down at

"Oh Kacchan. I'm so sorry." Midoriya said with a sad look

"S'not a big deal." Bakugou shrugged, looking to the side

Midoriya stood up from his spot on the ground next to Bakugou near the water.
"Yes it is! They shouldn't treat you like some object or pet. You're a person!" He said

Bakugou had a look of surprise, but quickly schooled it to his regular frown.
"Well It's over now, m'free." He shrugged

Midoriya sat back down with a huff.
"I'm glad you escaped, you didn't deserve that, and I'm sorry for your loss. It must've been hard to lose your parents like that." He placed a comforting hand on Bakugou's upper arm

The blonde glanced at it then back to Midoriya's eyes.
"Thanks, I guess." He said as a comfortable silence filled the area

"Can I know why yer a ghost?" Bakugou suddenly questioned politely, which was definitely not his style

"I already told you." Midoriya glanced to the side

"Ya only said you died. Not why or how, idiot." Bakugou rolled his red eyes

"Um well..." Midoriya swallowed hard and sighed

"I wanted to travel the world so I left my village and my mother to explore. However, when I got to these woods someone followed me or was already here?" Midoriya tilted his head confused then shook it

"I'm not sure." He shrugged

"Anyway they attacked me and took my stuff." Midoriya gripped his knees

"So they killed ya for loot?" Bakugou said dryly with a scowl as Midoriya nodded hesitantly

"Shit." He scrunching his face up as he looked away

Midoriya waved his hands dismissively.
"It's okay really, but that's why I want to protect people who pass through here. I don't want anyone else to end up like me. I had to attend my own funeral." He giggled trying to lighten the mood

"Ain't funny." Bakugou frowned at him

Midoriya shrugged.
"I mean It's not a big dea-" He was interrupted by the taller hugging so gently around him making the poncho frame his body tighter

"Kacchan?" The shorter questioned as he slowly hugged back

"Sorry yer dead. You deserved ta be alive longer." Bakugou said promptly

It wasn't the best sympathetic speech in the world, but it was good enough. Midoriya knew what the other meant and how much he meant it.
