THE TRUTH

Pete is silently folding his clothes while he's sitting at the bed, still thinking about the happenings earlier.

He can't sink in his head that he just talk with Vegas for about a couple of hours. They got to walk together in the sea shore, they got to eat together, talk about life together.

For the first time in Pete's life, someone gave him that attention. The attention Vegas gave to him when he's telling a story earlier, it's like he has the most admiring voice in Vegas' whole life.

"Ohoi! You're smiling there again!" Pete frown upon seeing his friend jumping on the bed.

"What are you doing here, aren't you supposed to sleep cause it's already dark" I said sarcastically.

"I want to bond with my best friend" Porsche said laying down beside Pete.

"Bond your face, you didn't even care about me earlier... all you did was cling to your boyfriend" Pete said in sulky voice.

"You have Vegas earlier, I saw how you two give each other an attention... it's suspicious" Porsche widened his eyes raising his eyebrows up and down.

Pete frown and push Porsche's face away from him.

"Suspicious your face, we're just friends" Pete said stopping his lips to draw a smile.

"Hmm, friends... Is there a friend who will stare at you like you're a star that shine bright like diamond" Porsche did a downward smile pointing Pete's face.

Pete can't argue with Porsche, so he just grin and rolled his eyes then proceed with folding clothes again.

"Anyway, Pete do you want to go for a party tomorrow at my bar?" Pete turn his gaze to Porsche.

"Just the both of us?" Pete asked.

"Nope, of course my daddy Kinn will come with me" Porsche lustfully smile and laugh that made Pete to shook his head.

This bitch.

"Is...Ve...Vegas...—" Pete slowly asked as he try to ask if Vegas would come also.

"Yes, your crush will come too." Porsche nodded giving Pete a look like he's so done with his friend's hidden agenda.

Pete hid his smile.

After I took a shower, I came outside to see my grandparents to ask about the people in the island.

"Grandma Jiu!" I called my grandmother as I saw her standing beside the front desk talking to the front desk supervisor.

Grandma turn around to faced me and smiled as I walked closer to her.

"Where's grandpa?" I asked.

"Aw there, he helped the workers fixed the problem in the net" Grandma Jiu pointed the crowd where there a lot of fisherman including my grandpa fixing something.

I just nodded and smiled.

"Why? Do you want anything?" Grandma Jiu asked.

"No khap, I will just ask where is the clinic here... I will go check and help" I smiled saying.

"Ohoi, sweetie you're here to rest and relax from work..." Grandma Jiu said in lower voice.
