'Y/n?' Wanda's normally gentle voice scraped at your brain, and you shook your head, trying to get comfortable.

'Y/n, please wake up!'-

Her tone was more insistent this time, and you forced yourself to wake up.

As your eyes fluttered open, you were able to take in the surroundings.

You were lying in the medical room.

Wanda was smiling down at you, from where she sitting; on the end of your bed.

But something was missing. You just weren't sure what yet.

'Wanda..? What happened?'

'Your powers. Someone used them as a vessel to get through to you. Someone was using you, against you. When I arrived, you were nearly dead. You were seizing.'

'I'm not dead. What did you do?'

'I- well I didn't save you, Natasha did.'

'You- she did what?'

'She touched your arm. I have no idea how it did anything, but your heart rate slowed, and some of the glow disappeared. Tell me y/n, what colour aura do your powers inhabit normally?' Wanda asked urgently.

'Purple.. well no, usually red, but last time purple.' You mused. 'Why?'

'I have reason to believe that your powers were not only being used, but they were being mixed with. I think that someone was trying to drag your powers out of you, and they could only do that by connecting with them first.'
Wanda explained.

'Then what do we do?' You asked, feeling slightly nauseous.

'It's already done, y/n.' Wanda mumbled, refusing to look you in the eye.

'What are you talking about?'

'I, well we, came to a decision while you were knocked out. Natasha was against it, she thought that we should wait till you woke up but'-

'Spit it out, Wanda.' You said coldly, feeling suddenly sick and shivery.

'We, well I- we destroyed your powers y/n, there was no other way'-

'YOU DID WHAT??'  You screamed, sitting up immediately.

'I'- Wanda looked ashamed, and turned away.

'Fuck you.' You muttered, getting out of bed.

'Y/n, come on, you don't really mean- y/n you have to stay in bed. I put my aura around for protec'-

'Sucks to your aura.' You walked out of the medical room door, ripping apart Wanda's carefully created aura. Once you got out of sight, you broke into a run.

'Y/n?' Steve called as you passed the kitchen, but you ignored him and kept running. Tears were streaming down your face and blurring your eyes but you didn't care, you ran up the steps two at a time.

You needed to see Natasha. You needed to make sure that she was okay. Whatever was holding you back before was now gone, and you no longer felt scared. You knew Natasha, and hated yourself for ever being afraid.

'Nat?' You sobbed, arriving at her room. You knocked, but there was no answer. You knocked again, more vigorously, then tried the door. It was open. You rushed in. On the bed, there was a note.

'Y/n.' It read. 'I'm so sorry. I never meant to scare you. I came into your room today, and you looked so beautiful and angelic, like you always do. Wanda said you'd wake up today. I think it would be better for you to feel fully safe, so you can recover quickly. Please get well soon y/n. Don't try and find me.
I love you,
Natasha'

The tears were coming faster and faster now, and the letter was drenched. You wiped it angrily, trying to preserve it.

You crawled into her bed, wrapping the covers around you. You buried your wet face into her pillow, and screamed.
