"taehoon? what are you doing in my apartment?" you look at your co-worker in confusion, not liking the trend of random people showing up in front of your abode.
"blondie asked me to get you." he muttered, fortunately loud enough for you to hear.
"ah..but for what? today's my day-off.."
you were supposed to go off and investigate for the day since rumi had given you today off but apparently she had other plans of letting you rest.
"hobin wants to quit newtube."
"....huh?"

"ah...so that's what happened. it must have been scary. jiujitsu isn't something to look down on, after all." you pat hobin's head as he cries, feeling overwhelmed and useless.
he bowed towards the man who humiliated his mother, he could not fight against those who disrespected the woman who gave him everything she could.
"there's a way." you sigh, turning towards yeorumi and taehoon who make a dramatic entrance with their matching clothes.
leaning down to your boss' height, you whisper, "there's a man on newtube who teaches you how to fight right? there might be a video on jiujitsu, so can you fight just as you always have?"
he looks at you in shock, unable to ask how you knew that because of the audience in the room, but nods before he turns towards his two other employees.
"there's a way to flip this around. come in!~" yeorumi hums, guiding a ravennett short haired girl into the room.

a few hours prior.
"so, you're gonna coax a confession out from the culprits who committed the hit-and-run?" you put a hand on your chin, contemplating the plan.
it wasn't bad per-se. but there were multiple factors that could go wrong.
while taehoon stalled the man, who hit the official, yeorumi would comfort the girl that was being violently abused by her boyfriend-the culprit.
but what if the woman was loyal to her lover?
what if taehoon wouldn't be able to stall?
what if she gets suspicious and doesnt confess?
you didn't like the thought of failure, but this plan was the only thing that seemed more plausible from the others you could think of.
"...alright, i'll help."

"gosh i can't believe he would hit a pretty girl like you." both you and yeorumi hug the ravennett who sobs as she tells you everything he does to her.
it was awful to hear that she was being treaty in such a brutal way, and you felt bad for tricking her like this.
but hey, she did assault someone
"but min jeong, what were you talking about before? why would your boyfriend do a hit and run on ji yeon woo's father?" yeorumi asks careful with her words.
"th-they paid us to do it."
"hm? who did?"
min jeong stutters, "i... i can't say."
you and yeorumi pull away from the hug, "listen, min jeong."
your tones shift to a serious one, "if you're going to leave, you need to leave now. that hit and run is all over the news. the person you assaulted, he wasn't just some random person."
"do you really think you won't be caught?"
you pick up of one the macarons, feeding it to min jeong as yeorumi continues to coax her into confessing.
"do you really want to ruin your life for that guy?"

"it was someone called seong joon..."

her confession was recorded, and was handed to ji yeon woo. his father was the victim after all, so he would be the one to make a decision.
"the recording is from an accomplice. we got permission to record, and they're willing to testify if needed. what are you gonna do?"
without a moments hesitation, he answers, "obviously, we'll report this to-"
his father tightly grasps his wrist, "you mustn't do that, yeon woo.."
"what do you mean father? why-"
"you have to destroy the records first...it's an adult thing, yeon woo.."
you can tell from yeon woo's face that he was more than livid. his father had been assaulted and he can't even report evidence because his father had done horrible things himself.
"so seong joon knew you couldn't report who did it even if you woke up?" his voice quivered from the frustration. "and you call yourself a public official?"
"it was for our family."
"so we can't even fight seong joon.."
"i can." you turn towards hobin.
"i can fight him. so, can you leave this to me?"
