Quinn's Lax (COMPLETED)

19. Finale

The day has finally come when Lax and Haiden will become one. Contrary to what Lax know, their wedding will be held at the mansion instead. Since it was a majority decision because there will be no other guests. Just them and their very close friends that you can count on with your fingers.

The Everknight's mansion was decorated the way Lax wanted and as of the moment, Lax is in his room getting ready. His papa, and grandmothers. While his dada and the rest are assisting Haiden and the latter appreciates it. 

"I can't believe that my baby boy is getting married," Haven said fixing his tie.

"And soon will have his baby," James said. 

Haven's eyes widened. "Don't act so surprised, son. Besides, your youngest is already expecting," James added. Haven sighed. He knew his father is right.

Sighing, "So, this is how it feels. It's like that it was only yesterday when he was born and now..." he trailed off.

"Don't worry, dad, I will take care of him and love him for the rest of my life," Haiden told Haven.

Haven smiled, "That's the only thing I want from you. Love my son and treat him well," he said.

Haiden smiled in return and turned to Xander, "Uhm, Mr. King, can I ask a favor?" 

Xander rubs his chin, "Sure, but you have to call me pops from now on," 

They all chuckled and Haiden took a deep breath, "Can you walk me later?" he asked.

Hearing that, they understand him. Xander smiled and nodded, "It would be my honor," Haiden is so grateful.

Meanwhile, in Lax's room, everyone is trying their best to calm him by sharing their own wedding stories. It somehow relaxes Lax.

"What are you thinking, son?" Skye asked him.

Lax smiled faintly, "Do you think I will be a good husband and a dad when the time comes?" he asked his papa.

Skye cups Lax's cheek, "Son, you are about to enter this new chapter of your life. No one can tell if we are good or bad aside from our other halves. But know this, you just have to go with the flow. No one can be prepared or ready for everything. Being a good husband is not that far from being a good boyfriend or lover. What makes someone good? When it comes to relationships, you can consider yourself a good partner if you acknowledge that you can't be perfect. There will always flaw but, accepting them and understanding each other and trying your best to become better is what makes you a good partner," Skye paused and holds both Lax's hands.

"Before doing or coming up with a decision, always consider your partner's thoughts. Remember, you are not only deciding for yourself but for your lover as well as there is no more just you. When you got married, two become one, therefore, you became us. Do you get me, son?" Skye asked. Lax nodded.

"Also, about being dad, don't think about it too much. You will know the answers when the time comes. Just love your future children and teach them what you think is right," Skye added.

"Your papa is right, Lax. For now, just enjoy your day," Scarlett said patting his hair.

Lax smiled, "Thank you, papa. I love you, all of you. I am blessed that you are my family," he said sincerely making Skye teary.

"Oh, stop this. My make-up will be ruined. Do you want your Gammie scares all the guests with my mascara?" Amiera joked.

"Oh, they're not waterproof?" Scarlett teased and they all laughed. They succeeded at keeping Lax calm until it was time.
