More months passed and Haiden and Lax's relationship nearing its first year.
Lax still hasn't told Haiden about his condition. The girl before? Well, she's still after him.
"Gio, are the models ready?" Lax asked his friend.
"Yes, Li. They are waiting to be interviewed."
Lax nodded and they head out to the interviewing room. All the models stand up. Lax noticed someone he never wanted to see.
He maintains his professional stan. "Let's start." He said sitting on his chair.
"Okay, ladies, welcome to King's Empire. As you all know, we are searching for the best candidate that will be the ambassador of the joint project of the Empire and Quinndom. Unfortunately, Mr. Quinn is not available today.
So, let's start with a simple introduction and why do you think we should pick you." Gio said.
There are only 5 models to be interviewed. They chose to give chance to those starting in this field.
After the four candidates, the girl that's been bugging Lax is the last one. She stands in front of the executives.
"Hi, my name is Ari Mory." She said twirling her hair in a flirty manner.
"Will you stop acting like a whore and be professional?" One of the executives said.
The girl's face turned red and compose herself.
"If you want the job, act accordingly. We are not looking for sluts." Gio said.
"Sorry." The girl said but they can see that it's not sincere. Gio asked her to continue.
"I am suited to be the face of the project, simply because I am pretty. Prettier than them." She said proudly.
The other girls looked at her in disbelief. The executives chuckled at her.
Lax sighed. "You really are full of yourself, huh," Lax said.
"You know her, sir?" One of the executives asked.
"Not really. She's just someone I bumped into one time at the airport and followed me, from there to the mall and created a scene." Lax said.
"Oh, my! She's the 'I'm pretty and famous' girl you talked about?" Gio asked his friend who nodded.
"I see, you talked about me." She giggled.
"Don't flatter yourself. Yes, I did. But with a purpose to warn my best friend from someone like you. And as for the project, we are not after the physical appearance.
If we are only after that, we don't need to look for someone. Have you forgotten? I am more beautiful than you."
Lax said smirking. The four other girls stifled a laugh.
