"Is it here?" Jake pointed to the elevator he saw. He was new to the area.

"No, we have to use the other elevator." The restaurant is on the other side.

She clung to his arms.

"Did you miss my muscles?" Jake jokingly asked

Audrey just smiled.

She did. She never knew she had missed this. They never dated, she never even thought of becoming his girlfriend.

Jake was the nation's boyfriend. He is so famous that most newbies are chasing him to be his girlfriend.

She never had that chance.

She smiled while thinking of those memories they shared.

The elevator door opened.

Jake was having different thoughts. Why is he missing her still when he's already beside her?

The lift suddenly stopped. Jake was quick to embrace her.

"Oh. What happened? " Audrey touched the emergency button.

"Operator, our lift stopped between 4th and 5th."

"Hello, mam. We have problems with our system and CCTV is inactive. How many are you inside?" a voice of an old man said

"Just two," she said, her heart pounding for no reason.

"Let me check ma'am, please hold on for a minute."

It was cold. The 5th floor is an open area, and the cold air was sifting through.

Jake tried to open the door, but he couldn't.

"Ma'am?"

"Yes, operator?"

"We can't do anything on our end, but I already called a technician. They will be here in 20-30 minutes. " The operator said

"Would you be okay?" he added

Audrey looked at Jake.

She doesn't know if she can last a minute with this handsome man in front of her. She could still feel his kiss.

"I guess so," she tried to compose herself.

"Ok, mam. Is it hot inside? "

"No, it's a bit cold, but it's okay," Audrey said

"Ok, please hang on. I will monitor and let you know when the technician has arrived, "

"Thank you," Audrey said. She leaned against the wall, nervous. Jake was looking at her.

"You okay?" Jake asked,

"Yeah, of course," Audrey reassured him

"Calm down," Jake said.

He knew she was uneasy.

If only he had not kissed her a while ago, she may not have been reacting this way.

He asked slyly, "Are you afraid that I might do something to you?"

"Stop that!" Audrey burst into laughter.

She was indeed anxious.

"It's getting hot," she whispered to herself.

"How come you're at our parking place anyway?" Are they allowing outsiders after 6? " Audrey remembered

"No, I told them that I'd be picking up my wife." He winked.

"Stop joking. I'm serious! " Then she wondered if his fiancée was working at the same building.

"Is she working here?"

"No, I parked downstairs." On the street. " He said

"Then why are you at our parking lot?"

"I was trying to find you." He said

"Me?" She grinned.

"Why didn't you just call?"

"I left my phone in the car."

Audrey laughed. "You haven't changed at all!"

She sat at the corner.

"Why do you have to find me then? You could have waited for me at the restaurant. " Audrey was hoping he'd say something else. She felt uneasy asking too many questions.

"I want to see you first," Jake said.

Then a pause.

A lot of thoughts were rushing through their minds

She looked at her watch.

Her phone rang.

"Where are you now? Jake isn't picking up as well. What's going on? " Kyla is on top of her voice.

"I'm stuck in the elevator." Audrey sounded nervous.

Then a beep.

"Look, Kyla. My phone is dying. The technician should be here soon. I will...

Beep beep beep.

The phone went off.

She looked at Jake. He is staring at her.

She checked the time. 18 minutes more.

Jake sat beside her.

"Are you okay?" He asked

"I am," Audrey said.

He reached for her hand and clasped it between his warm hands.

Audrey smiled.

"What happened to you?" She asked

"Why?"

"You're a bit odd," she remarked.

"I know."

He looked at her.

"I'm also surprised," he admitted.

"And I hope I'm not dreaming."
