Chapter 4

*Sunoo*

All I have ever wanted was to be everybody's happy pill but ain't no body ever ask me if I'm okay.

°Aug18 (Mon) 6:10am°

I had barely slept last night, as always, because they were fighting again, like always.

Somewhere around 1-2 my two younger siblings came crawling into my room, curling up next to me on my bed.

I didn't fall asleep until 4:30. And me waking up at 6 doesn't help my case.

I woke to a loud slam.

When I stumped out of bed and down into the living room. Dad was gone. Mom was sitting on the floor in front of the couch, crying.

'Mom?' I asked.

She jumped as I said her name.

'oh God, Sunoo' she says looking at me with hurt and fear in her eyes and I think a little something like guilt.

I finally look away from her eyes and notice her face. I gasp' OH My God, mom?'

'Im okay'

'no you're not' I try to reason with her.

'I am. Don't worry. He's gone. But I need you to take the girls to Nanas okay? And go hang out with your friends today for once okay?'

'You?'

'Mrs. Kang"

So I did as she asked. Shower, changed. Took the kids to Nanas.

'Is everything okay?' a small voice next to me in the car says. Minhun.

I look over to see tears coming down her cheeks.

'perfectly fine' I promise ' nothing you need to worry your cute little butt about' I say leaning toward her and pinching her cheek, making her giggle.

After I dropped them off I decide to go to the cafe were me and my friends usually decide to meet on Monday morning.

But the first thing I noticed when I walk in was a boy sitting on his own looking sad.

So me being me wanted to cheer him up.

I walk over to his table and say 'hey'

He looked up at me like he wasn't expecting company, which he probably wasn't.

I try again 'Im Sunoo'.

Then he seems to realize this was real.

'you must be new' he nodded 'you can come and hang out with me and my friends if you want.

That seemed to cheer him up.

As he gathered his things up I turned around to search for my friends. When I located them I ushered him forward.

We started walking as he say 'Jake'

Confused I look at him 'huh?'

He seemed shocked 'my name'.

'Oh, nice to meet you' I say with a little bow. He bowed back.

As we approach the table a boy with red hair says 'well look who finally decided to join us. Nice to know you're alive'

The others laugh. He smiles

'Haha very funny Sunghoon'

'yea and that's why everybody's laughing. Who's this?' he asked as his eyes land on Jake.

I introduce them. They all bow.

'Speaking of which' Sunghoon says when I'm done 'party tonight. You down?'

'Duhh'

I sigh. I wish they knew how much I needed this.
