Love and war-an owl house fanfic (Huntlow+actual story)

School

"WHAT?!?" I screamed. It was a week later and Luz just announced that school starts in 3 days, and we would be coming with her.

"No, no, no. I can't do that!" I said.

"Too bad because mom already signed the papers." Said Luz with a smug look on her face

"Wait..." said Gus "What will our names be?" 

"We decided that you can keep your original names but Luz will have to be Lily because I'm Luz." Said Vee. "If anyone asks your my cousin from Australia who came here for a family trip. And your last name is Spring, ok?"

"Ok" said everyone.

"Um...How does this 'school' thing work? I've never even been to a Hexside class before." I said 

Silence 

"We'll get you and Willow to have the same classes. She can help you." Said Vee.

Me and Willow stared at each other. The whole day with Willow? What has this realm come to?

3 days later we were walking to the school. Willow was next to me, it took all of my willpower not to hold her hand. We were siblings after all (to everyone else) We had our "skedules", Willow grabbed my hand (AAAAAAAAAAAA) and lead me to our first class. We entered a room that had a female teacher with her hair tied in a bun and glasses. Me and Willow sat down next to each other in the back of the room.

"Hello class" said the teacher "My name is Mrs. Jensen and welcome to science class! I would like everyone to stand up, say their name and one thing about yourself. Go!" She pointed at a kid in the front, but I wasn't paying attention. I was silently freaking out, something about myself?!? 

"Willow, hey, Willow!" I whispered "What does she mean 'something about ourself'?"

"Just say your age or something"

"You, in the back with the blue hair." Said the teacher. Willow stood up and said:

"My name is Willow Spring and I'm from Australia"

There were many oos and aas from the class then the teacher turned to me and said "And you dear?"

I stood up and said " I-um- My name is Hunter Spring  and I-uh am 16 years old." I said then sat down. The teacher looked at me, then at Willow, and then said:

"Are you two related?"

"Yes ma'am" said Willow "Siblings. You should also know our cousin Luz?"

"Oh yes, yes. Well, take out your notebooks everyone"

The class was kinda boring then the a bell rang and everyone started leaving the room, I looked over at Willow and saw she was leaving too.

"Wait!" I said sprinting toward her. We went to many different classes like math and social studies, then it was time for lunch. We went through a line with trays and we each got somethings called Apples, garlic bread, and "spagettey" We met up with everyone and sat down.  

"How's your first day of school going, Hunter?" Said Gus.

"It's hard to not hold Willows hand when everyone thinks your siblings" I thought 

Gus was staring at me, so was Amity, Luz, and Vee. Willow was trying her best not to look at me though.

"Why are you all staring at m-" then I realized. 

"Did I say that out loud?!?" I said

Everyone nodded. I could feel my face getting warm.

"I gotta go!" I said, getting up out of my seat.

"Where are you go-"Luz started, but I was already gone

I found a door that said "Boys bathroom" so I walked inside. It seemed empty. I leaned up against the cold tile wall and put my face in my hands. 

"I can't believe I said that in front of everybody! I bet their all questioning her right now! You gotta stop thinking out loud!" I said

"Yeah you got that right." Said a voice. I flinched and looked around. There was a boy who seemed to be around my age standing next to the door. "My names Brandon, you?"

"Hunter"

"What happened my dude?"

"Well-um theres this girl I like and we have to pretend we're siblings and-" I don't know why but I told him the whole story (except for the fact I'm from a demon realm)

"That sounds hard, listen I gotta go but maybe I'll see you later?" 

"Sure"

I walked back to the table, happy I made a friend but then remembered why I left in the first place. 

"You WHAT?!?" Yelled Luz

"Hmm?" I said, unsure what was going on.

"Willow just told us everything that happened on the walk!" Said Luz

I stared at Willow, my face getting as red as hers.

"Did you now?" I said, trying to sound calm but failing miserably. She nodded, I put my face in my hands to try and cover up my blush but it didn't work.

The rest of the day passed in a haze of embarrassment. When we got home Luz gathered us in the living room.

"Ok, new plan: Amity is my girlfriend that I brought with me and Hunter is Willows boyfriend." Said Luz calmly.

I fell out of my seat, my face red. I got up quickly.

"But we're not- it's just- it's not like that-is just-" my sentence fell away into stutters. I looked over at Willow and saw her face, glowing red.

It's was my first, worst, and best day at school...ever.
