Caught

Me and Steve were laying in bed, like every usual morning, him asleep and me awake.

It was around 6:30am, The sun was starting to rise with a nice cold breeze.

Steve was hugging onto my waist while I faced away from him, to watch the sun rise. His head was in the crook of my neck, He was softly snoring and would move every so often, sometimes his hair would move with him.

He groaned, then yawned to show he was awake, he realised his grip on me wasn't that tight, so he snaked his arms around my waist more, pulling me into him. Moving his hands around my body.

"Good morning my love." I whispered.

"Good morning beautiful." He said quietly, snuggling into me more.

"Why are you up so early?" He asks, but he probably already knows the answer.

"Force of habit, after all the monster fighting we've been doing." I say as I turn to face him.

Nothing else was said, but we just gazed into eachother's eyes. I stared into his beautiful brown eyes, as they were staring into my eyes. I looked down, smiled and shifted my head into his neck,  Feeling shy and weak in the knees. The butterfly's in my stomach wanted to burst out anytime that boy looked at me, but now more than ever.

Oh things he does to me.

After a couple hours of just sitting, talking and him falling back asleep. It was around 8:21am, when everything went wrong.

We had both fell asleep, not realising the pain that was about to hit me every so greatly.

"Y/N, come on we were suppos-" Nancy says, cutting herself off after seeing the current state I was in.

"What the HELL!!" She yelled, as soon as she did we both shot up out of bed.

"What is this." She says ever so sternly, I look at Steve with a worried look. I was completely clueless on what to do.

"I-I, Nance! I can explain!!" I say as she runs out of my house, causing Dustin to come out. "What's going on?" He asks, until he sees Steve with no shirt and only wearing sleeping trousers.

"What the shitting shit is this." He asks Steve, but I didn't care. I wanted to explain to Nancy.

"No Y/N, you don't get to explain! That is my ex boyfriend, in that bed of yours, who you said you disliked a lot and you wanted me to break up with him several times!! Is this why? So you could steal him from me?!" She shouts, but I can't even respond, All is what comes out is tears.

She quickly gets back in her car and drives off. I run back into my house, where there is more havoc.

"Steve that's my sister, dude come on!!" Dustin says, sounding pretty hurt.

"And? She can date who she wants Dustin!!" Steve replies back, I quickly run past them into my bedroom and slam the door shut.

I felt horrible, I did this to Nancy and felt fine about it until now. She probably hates me, It's not that I didn't trust her I just didn't want to hurt her. I feel awful.

"Baby?" Steve says quietly as he enters my room.

"Mhm?" I say, Sniffling.

"Oh come here.." He says, pulling me into a hug, putting my head on his chest, stroking my hair.

"It's not your fault, your a good friend, your a good sister." He says, trying to reassure me but it doesn't work.

"I'm not though, why didn't I tell them this? They probably hate me and never ever want to see me ever again. I am so stupid, of course she would be mad." I sniffle, Crying even harder.

"If I'm gonna be honest, they are the bad people. You do absolutely everything for those two, you sacrifice your life for them constantly, you do everything and always put your self before them. If they hate you then they are ungrateful people." He states, cupping my face into his hands, wiping my tears away.

"I love you, Y/N. And I always will, and if they hate you, Just know I won't."

Hold on. That is the first time he's ever said those words. I love you.. Do I love him? Hold on that's not even a question yes of course I do. Okay..

"I love you too Steve." I say back, he smiles, Oh that smile. He kisses me, I hesitate but kiss him back. We pull away, he smiles and lies down and pulls me with him.

"We'll sort it out tomorrow."
