It was good, until it wasn't

It didn't take long for Vanya to find a job, she had enough to get her and Fivea beds and food. It was all good, her baby was a year old now, that day was filled with a messy little face and over joyed giggles, she was so happy. Her job pays well and she was content with her life, but she couldn't help but feel guilty, upset that she left her siblings in that hell hole, Klaus understood but that didn't mean the others would too.

She kept track of them from a distance, picking up a newspaper whenever she could to make sure they were okay, make sure they hadn't been hurt, so far only minor injuries. Fivea loved to be told stories of her uncles and aunt, it seemed like they were the only thing that could get her down. Vanya's heart felt full listening to her little girl giggle while she told her funny stories of her family, and how much they love her.

Another thing she had done was find a low costing daycare for Vea to go to, she couldn't leave her alone and her work wouldn't let her bring her in, it was weird, leaving her baby alone, and there were other moms that judged her, well, Vanya could understand, she was teenage girl with a one year old kid but still it didn't stop the hurt feeling everytime she dropped Vea off. She didn't say anything to the other moms, it didn't matter to her in the long run.

So in short, Vanya was doing great, she felt good, her and her baby are healthy, it was all good.

Well it was, until it wasn't.

She had just finished her shift and was walking to Fivea's daycare to pick her up when she saw it, her and her little girls faces, the words Missing under their photos, her fathers face appeared on screen, her mother and siblings stood behind him, he was making a statement, but she could barely hear. Suddenly she felt her feet move before she could even think, she was speed walking, she needed to get her daughter, she needed to get her and leave, she would leave the city, she needed to get far away from the academy, from this god awful fucking city that knew her and her baby existed now.

It didn't take long for her to get to the daycare, she pushed the doors opened before walking to the front desk, she quickly said "Um, I'm here to pick up Fivea" the front desk worker just tilted her head to the sign out paper, Vanya quickly signed her and Fivea's names before walking to the room Vea was in. She knocked and Jenna, the teacher, walked over and opened the door, she asked in a dull tone "Here to pick up Fivea?" Vanya just nodded, Jenna called over the assistant teacher over, who was holding Vea, the assistant handed her baby over to her, Vanya held her baby close to her, "Uh, I think this might be the last time Fivea's gonna be here, we have to move" she said in a anxious tone, Jenna nodded before saying "well you already paid this month's fee so it's okay." Vanya only nodded before bidding her goodbye, walking out of the daycare.

"We have to go, I'm sorry baby but it's not safe here anymore" she kissed the top of her head before walking to their apartment, she was quick to put Fivea in her little playpen, tears leaked out of her eyes, she couldn't breath, she had been gone for so long now, why did her father only now notice? she shook her head to get rid of the thoughts, all she needed to do was look for a new apartment, job, and daycare, it would be hard but it didn't matter, as long as her baby was far away from her sick fucked up father.

All five of them couldn't breath, Luther had only now found out, when their father called them to come with him, to make a statement about their missing sister. The only things running through their heads was the hope the phone would stay quiet, that father would get bored of looking for little seven, that their sister and niece were okay.

As much as Luther was loyal to his father, it was his sister's choice to run, if she didn't want to be a part of the Academy even though she wasn't in academy, they had reminded her of that a lot of times , then she didn't need to stay here, but he couldn't help but be worried, he had seen his...sisters baby, he felt weird calling her his niece, once and she was small, she was fragile , his sister was smaller too, he almost saw her as his baby sister, despite the fact they were all the same age.

Klaus, Diego, Ben, and Allison decided to have a quick meeting, "why did dad just find out? Why is he only now doing something about it!" whisper shouted Diego, he was pissed, their fathers fake worry about their sister was making them all mad, who did he think he was? They were actually worried, their father just wanted his main punching bag back. "I mean, maybe Vanya found out, she's probably looking for a safer place" Ben tried to reason, but all of them knew better, their sister who has always been easy to manipulate would probably come back.

Vanya had Vea strapped to her chest, she had just turned in everything of her old life and now she was at the library looking for jobs, cheap apartments, and daycares, she had little luck with the daycares but she had found a good apartment, it was a small two bedroom, it was far from the academy and the rent was decent, it was easy to chat with the landlord, she was so happy when the landlord asked to met her at the apartment so she could see it to see if she wanted to move in.

-

The landlord was nice and the apartment was great, smaller than the other but better, quickly she paid upfront and said she would be back with her and her daughters things to move in, but her smile quickly fell remembering that she didn't have a car. The landlord, Mrs Smith, was more than happy to offer a drive to her old place to pick up her things, she smiled and accepted, it was a quick drive, her and Fivea's beds in the back of Mrs Smith's truck. A smile plastered on her face, as they pulled into the apartment's parking area, she felt her heart grow, her and her baby would be safe, they were never going to see the disgusting face of Reginald Hargreeves again.
