Chapter 14

🌹 Talia 🌹

"Yes, I do because I like you" I keep hearing in my head. What? The Arthur Gabrielli likes me? What?

"Talia, are you okay? Are you hearing me?"I look directly into his eyes. I smile and put my hands to his face pulling him into a kiss. I feel Arthur smiling he wraps his arms around my waist and I put mine around his neck. We deepen the kiss and I smile now. We pull away from each other and we are looking at each other. His eyes are sparkling. "I like you too Arthur" his smile grew bigger and he kisses me hard.

"Can you continue this later when you're alone not outside of a yacht where everyone can see you two? And after you finish all your work." Says Mario and I bury my head in Arthurs's chest. I've been caught making out with a boy. I'm a mother of God's sake I'm not a teenager anymore. "Okay I'm coming back give me 5 minutes and I'll be there"

"We will continue this later okay?" He says and kisses my head and heads back inside. I on the other hand I'm still shocked. I look at the couches and I take a seat. Did it really happen? Or am I just dreaming? Have I accidentally found the person that was meant for me? Okay maybe I went too far but we'll see. I get up and walk back inside where the boys are. They are putting Arthur's microphone again and they start.

"Well to answer your last question. Yes, I do have someone special in my life." He says and looks at me and smiles putting his dimples on display. I lower my head trying to hide my blush. After his answer, they lucky continue without making any other problematic questions.

It's the end of the day now and Arthur finished all his press. We went back to the port and all the crew left. It's just me and Arthur on the boat and some crew members. "Alice and the girls should be here any minute. What are you doing?" He says walking into the kitchen. He wraps his arms around my waist. "Well, I want to cook something for us. Do you like pasta bolognese and cheese garlic bread?" He kisses my cheek.

"Baby thank you but you know we have people." Arthur just called me baby. I cannot hide my smile or the blush. I continue cooking "I know. I just want to cook something myself to thank you and your sister."

"Okay then carry on. I'm going to find the perfect wine then" he says kissing my head and walked away. I continued prepping everything and soon after I put it in the oven I hear little voices. My baby is here I ran from the kitchen to my angel. "Malia baby" I squat and open my arms wide open. Lia comes running to me hugging me tightly. "My love I missed you so much. Tell me did you have fun with Noa and Alice?"

"I missed you too mama and yes. We played with my dolls and my dresses." I look at Alice and mouth 'Thank you' She smiles and walks away with her daughter. "Did I hear my favorite little girl?" Says Arthur walking behind me. "Arthur!!" She jumps from my arms to Arthur's arms. As I said a special bond between them. I wonder what would it be like if she was with her father. "Malia, can you help me with the boat? I'm in need of a co-captain. Will you help me?"

"Mama can I?" She says with her puppy eyes. How can I say no to her? "Yes, baby you can. Just be careful."

"Don't worry mommy Arthur is going to be there. He will take care of me."She looks at him and I look at them. Arthur takes her in her arms. "I'll take good care of her you know." I nod and smile. I move forward and give them a kiss on the cheek. I move closer to Arthur's ear and whisper "You are playing with fire you know that" I move away and he's smirking at me. I go back to the kitchen and they went on the deck.

"Talia please give me your recipe. They were amazing and to be honest you're a very good cook."

"Oh, it's nothing I'm happy that you liked it. I'll write it down and give it to you"

"Is there anything you can't do?" Says Arthur looking at me. I turn to him and smile. "Well I can't play the piano even though I would love to"

"Well, you're lucky. Maybe I'll teach you someday. If you would like of course."

"If you have the time I would love to. Thank you"

"Anything for you" He says smiling at me. "Mama mama, can you please make your chocolate pancakes?"

"What? Malia you just ate."

"But mama I want to show Noa how amazing they are"

"Okay baby I promise I'll make them for you but not now"

"How about tomorrow for breakfast?"Says Arthur and I turn to him with a questioning look. "Arthur, what do you mean? Don't you have a race tomorrow?"

"Yes, but we can all stay here tonight so you can make your pancakes and we can all try them. Plus I'll be close to the pit."

"I don't want to make things more uncomfortable."

"Talia things aren't uncomfortable plus I invited you. You think I would if I didn't want to?"

"True but do understand my side"

"Talia don't worry we will have so much fun. Please stay."Says Alice this time.

"Okay then since you both think it's a great idea. Then I'll also cook my famous chocolate pancakes."

"Yay" my little girl jumps up and down and does her little happy dance. We laugh at her and then start talking about stuff. Arthur left to go to some meetings so Alice and I play with our baby girls.

...

A few hours have passed and it's bedtime for the girls. "Well, I think it's time for sleepy time so Malia let's go. Luckily I have some pj for you in my bag."

"Arthur, can you please tell me where is our bedroom?"

"Well, you can take my room. The other rooms aren't ready I'm sorry. But I'll take the couch so you and Malia take the bed."

"What are you talking about? You have a race tomorrow you have to sleep well. I will sleep on the couch with Malia."

"Mama I don't want to sleep on the couch. I'm tirwed"

"Look now Talia please we don't have to make this an issue. So you take the bed I'll take the couch."

"Since you, both can't decide why don't you share a bed?" says Alice from the other end of the room.

What? We turn to Alice. I speak "Oh no no I can't do that"

"Why not?" This time Arthur turns to me.

"We won't do anything. We will have Malia in between so not tonight."

"Mama I want to sleep, please. I'm tiwerd"

I stand in between Arthur, Malia, and Alice. All the staring makes me uncomfortable. "Okay let's go to bed" I say to my roommate for the night. Arthur smirks and takes Malia in his arms. She puts her little head against his chest and closes her eyes. He walks before me we pass a smiling Alice. Arthur opens the door and puts Lia slowly and quietly on the bed. He turns to me and walks to me. I stand there against the door. I smile at his beautiful face. "Arthur thank you so much for everything"

"I should be the one to thank you beautiful" he says putting his arms around me and he leans to kiss me slowly. "Now do you want my shirt to sleep?"

"Yes please but I have to change Malia. So can you just put it on the nightstand?" He nods his head and kisses me one more time. Arthur moves to the closet and I take Malia's pj from my bag and change her. She's a deep sleeper luckily. Arthur gets in bed while I take his shirt and finish my business in the bathroom. After I finish I get to my side and get in. I pull Malia closer to me but Arthur stops me. "Don't worry about her. Let her sleep however she wants" and I do so. He closes the light and I try to sleep but I can't fall asleep. I just adjust my eyes to the darkness and see my beautiful daughter and Arthur. I think I might be falling for him and we've known each other for so little time.
