A choice to make; A life to choose

One

Only one can be saved
And the other ...

My own daughter
On one hand
My younger sister's only child
On the other

There is only enough blood
To save one

Four were dragged from the wreck:

One awake ... me

One comatose ... my sister

Leaving two ten year olds
To fight for their lives

But
In the end
All that fighting
Will be for nothing

Neither are expected
To make the night
Only one can be given the chance

The chance to live
Based on someone's choice

My choice

My daughter

Or

My sister's son

*End*

And that is the end of the first short story to be added to this book. I hope everyone enjoy's it

Also, this poem was inspired by Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken," with the main concept of internal concept and a difficult choice that has to be made.
