RING RING RING
That was the fifth period bell. LUNCH TIME. I saw Logan walking to me.
"Hey, you ready to go" He asked. He knew the answer to the question. He knew I would never be ready to face the whole world, never less Emma and Nate.
"Sure, whatever" I said maybe a little to loud
"Kay, babe" Logan said. I loved it when he called me that. I loved being his "babe", his one and only babe. We started to walk toward the cafeteria, before we entered I gave Logan a kiss. It was probably about 3 minutes long.
"Whoa babe, are you okay" he said, with a smile on his face. I loved his smile. I could see his sea green eyes gleaming in the sun, his perfectly whitened teeth shining in the sun. His brown hair tussled perfectly.
"You know what Logan. I'm surprisingly perfect" I said smiling ear to ear. Despite my number of moods today, I'm pretty sure today is a really good day.
"You ready" Logan said, while pulling me into one of his bear hugs.
"You know what, I am". And with that said, we walked into the cafeteria like we had no cares in the world. And it felt good. It felt like the whole world was finally lifted from my shoulders.
"Hey Girls and Guys, what's up" I said.
"Hey Meli" Cass said, with maybe a tiny hint of worry
"Are you feeling okay?" Annabeth said.
"Yes I'm feeling okay. I feel like a whole new me. I whole new Melissa" I said. As I said that I twirled around with my arms in the air
"Okay whatever you say, Melli" the rest of the group said except Logan. It was like he knew this was really real. He liked the new Melissa, but I mean who wouldn't.
As I was walking with Annabeth and Cass to tell them what had happened earlier, I saw Nate and Emma kissing. Breath in, breath out I said mentally. I should just talk to them. Remember, if you get annoyed or angry count to 10 before you say anything you'll regret.
"Hey Emma. Hey Nate. What's up" I said. It felt good to talk to them without mentally thinking of ways on how to kill them.
"Hey Moody Pants" Nate replied. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. Breath in. Breath out. Don't cause any trouble. Let it fly past you, don't let it get to you. As I was thinking about what to say, I saw Logan glance at me. He gave me his "do you need help" eyes. I shook my head no. I got this
"Haha, funny Nate. Did I mention that you guys look very happy together. You guys should have went out earlier. Possibly before I was dating Nate, but all is forgotten, and all is forgiven." What the hell am I saying. I'm not going to forgive these bastards for what they did. But they don't need to know that.
"Wow, thanks Meli. I knew you would come around" Nate and Emma said. Did they really know I was gonna come around, DOUBT IT.
"Anyway...., enjoy the rest of the lunch. Nice chatting with you" and with that I skipped back to my table.
"What was that all about" Annabeth and Cass said
"That's part of my new me. I let Emma and Nate know that all is forgotten and forgiven and that they look cute together!" I said that with pride. I was proud of the new me. Nothing has changed though I will just be more forgiven.
"Wow, maybe it is a new you!" They said happily. I'm glad that my friends like the new me, although I hope that they don't think of the new me higher than the old me. As I looked behind me I saw Emma whisper something in Cass's ear, this couldn't be good at all. Then Cass pulled Micheal to the other corner of the lunch room. I looked down at my lunch thinking. For some odd reason, something felt out of place.
"YOU BASTARD!" I heard Cass yell. Whoa, what was happening
"Hey, Cass, calm down. Nothing happened, we were just talking." Micheal said. I ran over to Cass. Tears were forming in her eyes. I had to get her out of here.
"Come on, Cass. Let's talk. Tell me everything that happened." I said calmly. I motioned to Annabeth to come with us. Then I glanced at the guys signaling them to talk to Micheal and find out any more information. Before we left the cafeteria, I saw the guys (Percy and Logan) with their fists in the air. There better not be a fight. Then, I heard a grunt of pain. Uh oh. That's not good.
"Annabeth take Cass the bathroom, I'll see what's happening here and meet you!" I said with urgency in my voice. As I turned around about to run, I saw Logan on the floor clutching his face.
"LOGAN!" I screamed. Oh, god. I hope that he's okay. Please God, let him be okay. The closer I go to him the more I saw and the more I smelled. The area reeked of blood. I saw blood flowing like a river, starting right where Logan was. HOLY SHIT
"Meli. Don't come closer. I don't want you to see me like this." Logan said
"No, I don't care what you look like. I will care for you. I will stand by you through the ups and downs, but let me take care of Micheal, and Percy" I said. I'm glad the Logan is okay. As I turned towards Percy and Michael I heard Logan say Uh oh.
"HEY, BOYS!" I screamed. I stepped in front of them hoping that they would see me and stop. As I looked to the boys, I saw a fist come toward my face. It was Micheal's fist.
"What the hell, Micheal" I yelled. Micheal just punched me. I fell to the floor not sure how to react. I could feel tears flooding to my face. I saw Logan stand up glaring at Micheal, his fists raising in the air and I saw Micheal begin to say something. Before I was able to interpret what Micheal said everything went pitch black and I fell back words.
