I awoke from my sleep with a surprise. I was back in my room in my home. I was out of the hospital. Then I glanced around taking in my surroundings. Everything looked exactly the same. I walked to the bathroom and found that there was a lock to the places where my mom keeps her pills. I can't believe that she did this. I told her that it wouldn't happen again but I guess she doesn't believe me. I washed my face and looked at myself in the mirror. I looked like hell. My hair looks like it wasn't combed in 10 days. And I look like a skeleton, I was that skinny. As I walked out of the bathroom I heard laughter coming from the living room. One of the laughs I recognized immediately, it was Logan's. As soon as I heard his laugh my heart filled with warmth and I couldn't help to smile. I went back into my room and changed into something sexy, but not to sexy just in case someone else was there. I brushed my hair and put on some makeup. Then I looked at myself in the mirror once more. Now I looked more like Meli. I walked down the stairs thinking about what to say. My footsteps were loud on the old wood floor. When I was on the last step I saw Logan stand up and walk towards me. When he was in front of me he picked me up and twirled me around.

"Hi" I said. Something was different about today.

"Hey" he replied. He was trying to hide a serious tone but it wasn't working. He was trying to hide it with a smile but it was a forced smile

"What's up. I can tell you are hiding something, just tell me now and get it out of the way." I said. I was waiting for his reply. He put me down and pulled me toward the couch. He motioned me to sit down.

"Listen this is going to be hard for me to say and this is going to be hard for you to listen but, Percy is out of jail." Logan said. He looked at me waiting for my reaction. I suddenly felt dizzy. I needed something to hold on to. I put my hand on Logan's hand.

"What do you mean he isn't going to jail. He tried to rape me and he isn't going to jail." I saw Logan wince when I said the word rape.

"The jury declared him not guilty because of lack of evidence. He is probably on his way home right now." Logan said. What the hell is wrong with the jury.

"Can we just stop talking about this, it is getting me all depressed." I said to Logan.

"Sure babe" Logan said. He put his arm around me and I leaned on his shoulder

"Do you remember that night at the hospital after you kicked Percy's butt" I said to Logan. When I said that Logan slightly chuckled.

"Yea" He replied

"Well after, when you let me sleep on your stomach I saw a tear coming from you." I said. He looked down like he was embarrassed.

"Im sorry babe. It's just that I love you so much that it hurts. I worry about you. I also felt betrayed. Percy has been my best friend since we were little kids and then for him to go after you like that. It broke my heart. It broke my heart to see you like that. I felt like it was my fault. If only I was listening better it might not have happened." He said. I was touched when he said that.

"It wasn't your fault. It wasn't anyone's fault. No one would have seen it coming." I said. I leaned up to kiss him but then we heard a knock on the door. I got up with Logan following to see who was at the door. I looked through the peep whole and saw Cass and Annabeth. What are they doing here? Logan looked down at me to make sure I was okay.

"Should I answer it?" I asked Logan looking for advice from him

"We know you are in there Meli and Logan, can we just talk for a minute." I heard Cass's voice shout from the other side of the door. I unlocked the door and I opened it slowly. Logan stood behind me.
