Unexpected Attack.

NARRATOR

Farris and Silas looked ahead of them while waiting for Silas' father to see them off, or rather see Silas off.

"Son." They immediately turned around as soon as they heard the king's voice.

"Dad, thank you for letting me go with Farris." Silas thanked his father with a big smile, his father went to him before giving him a hug.

"I'll miss you." he said before stepping back and looking at Farris. "Take care of my son, and if he bumps into trouble, protect him, got it?" The king said and Silas sighed in disbelief.

"Dad, please." Silas argued, his father just nodded before sighing and backing away.

Silas waved goodbye as he and Farris began walking towards the opening gate of the kingdom, some people are even looking at them or rather their prince who is currently wearing something simpler than before with a brown shoulder bag and a long sword. He isn't even wearing his crown.

"Did something happen? And why is the pince walking with a young man instead of riding on his carriage?" One of the villagers asked.

"I heard that the prince was having a trial and since he won, he is allowed to go on an adventure with someone, maybe it's with that young man." A person answered.

People just kept staring at them because it is their first time seeing their prince without a carriage or a guard with him, it only stopped as soon as they got out of the kingdom.

"People are so observable and full of gossip this days, they won't even mind their own business especially when it's rumors about us." Silas said, shaking his head. Just like Farris, Silas also doesn't like much attention, especially from people who's only interested with noble gossips.

Farris just let out a laugh before patting his friend's shoulder.

"That's some people alright. They care about other people's businesses than themselves." Farris said with a smile, looking up at the blue sky with clouds moving ahead.

They kept walking until they arrived inside a forest filled with tall and big trees, they could also hear birds tweeting and the sounds of steps that they assumed came from some animals.

"Where do we even sleep when night comes? And also I'm hungry. I'm sorry if I'm too noisy." Silas said scratching the back of his head.

"Well if we would be lucky and find a cottage then we would ask to stay for the night, if not maybe I could make us a temporary tent, I haven't used the rest of my creative power so I could still make something." Farris explained and Silas just listened before nodding his head.

They walked and walked, they even defeated 2 monsters and took what they could eat, then as soon as it was beginning to turn dark, they decided to eat and rest for the night.

Farris lifted his hand, and since he couldn't make a building and only things, he decided to make a separate tent for the two of them, Silas watched in amazement until it was finish.

"You can sleep in that one, while I'll sleep in this one." Farris said and Silas agreed before speaking.

"Now that you finished the tent, I'll look for some sticks nearby and you can be in charge of the meat." Silas said, Farris gave him a thumbs up and the prince began to walk towards a direction.

Farris created a knife and took the meat out before cutting on it, then he also created a small match for the fire and waited for Silas.

Silas came back with a few sticks and place it on the ground before Farris decided to make a fire and Farris took a stick and pierce it on a meat, Silas did the same.

They spent their evening chatting while waiting for the meat to be cooked, they also caught up to their lost childhood together and what will happen tomorrow and soon after that.

After talking before eating, they said their goodnight and went into their separate tents that Farris made for them. Farris tried everything to fall asleep because of his stamina, it took 2 hours for him to fall asleep.

The night went on quickly until morning came. Farris rubbed his eyes while getting out of the tent, he saw that Silas was already up and sharpening his sword with a rock.

"You're awake! Should we keep going now?" Silas stood up while asking with a smile.

"Oh yes, let me get my bag first and you can tidy up your tent." Farris replied before going inside once again to get his bag.

While Silas place his sword down and tidied the tent up and Farris also got out and began tidying his own tent.

When they were finally done, they nodded at each and began walking towards a path until they arrived at a beautiful part of the forest.

But when they got there, they heard someone running towards a certain place, they just ignored it since they thought that it was just an animal, they put their guard up so that they would be ready as soon as an animal attacked.

They looked around the place and there is a waterfall in front of them with a small circle of water, around it were countless different kinds of flowers. Butterflies and dragonflies were flying around the place, it was the most beautiful place they had ever saw.

"Do you see what I'm seeing, Farr? It's so beautiful!" Silas said with excitement in his eyes. His love for nature became bigger.

"Of course I do, and yes, it's magnificent!" Farris said, amazement also visible in his eyes.

"Stop right there! Don't move! I have a weapon!" They froze when they heard a beautiful voice of a girl behind them.

"Easy, why are you threatening us? Did we cross your territory?" Farris asked politely, Silas was just staring at the field around him to calm himself down.

"Don't act like you don't know! My parents sent you guys to look for me, didn't they?" The voice asked, and they can hear it getting closer. Farris was also thinking for a plan while talking to the lady.

"We don't even know you and no one ordered us anything, we are just random adventures who are exploring the forest." Farris said while the lady is still taking single steps to walk towards them.

"Are you su—" She couldn't finish her words because Farris was fast enough to catch her.

As soon as she was close to them, he activated his speed and caught the lady, holding both her hands that was holding the bow and arrow, just enough time for her to not shoot him nor his bestfriend.

"What.. how did you do that? Let go of me!" The lady said, trying to escape Farris' grip. She felt like she would explode when Farris caught her, she felt his skin collided with him which made her feel hot and her heart to beat faster but she controlled herself.

Silas turned to look at the person who was about to shoot them and he was stunned, it was as if she saw something more beautiful than nature. His heart began to beat while looking at the female in front of him.

"Far, you might be hurting her, let go." Silas said after he came to his senses, Farris frowned and felt something different from Silas.

"She tried to shoot us." Farris said.

"Yeah, well she thought we were ordered by her father, maybe that's why." Silas said, pleading for his friend to let go of the lady.

"Fine." Farris said before letting go of her, but not before taking her bow and arrow from her.

"Give me my bow and arrow back!" The lady said, pointing at Farris. Farris rolled his eyes before looking at Silas, figuring out if something is wrong with him.

"My friend won't give you your weapon because you might attack us, but I assure you that we were not sent by your father and that were just random adventurers. But why are you even running away?" Silas asked, walking slowly towards her, she then glared at him.

"Who are you to ask me anything?" The girl asked back. Farris sighed deeply, the girl in front of him is a hard-headed one, he knew that she came from a wealthy family by how spoiled she looks and how nicely she is dressed and the jewelries she is wearing. A typical noble look.
