Seokjin reached for his phone and checked the GPS location of Jeon Junghoon's car. He then checked Junghoon's text messages and emails. On finding nothing new after browsing through them for a while, Jin locked his phone and took his towel to the bathroom. He stood under the shower and let the warm water soak his body, while his brain began functioning at its full speed, trying to process each and every detail that he had collected on Junghoon so far.
It had been close to three weeks now since Jin got acquainted with Junghoon and he was very much certain that the old cow was going crazy about him. He could see the impatience and desperation in Junghoon's eyes every time they met. Junghoon had gotten bolder with his touches as well. What started as lights pats and concerned caresses had now escalated to hugging and groping. But just like every other time, Jin endured the violation and played along with Junghoon.
Jin recorded every call that Junghoon made and received. He listened to those recordings every night, hoping to find something or someone who would be beneficial for his plan. He had gone through Junghoon's entire email history for the past seven years. He tracked Junghoon's car location every ten minutes. Every transaction Junghoon made was being monitored and tracked by Yoongi. Meanwhile Hoseok was doing a perfect job in seducing Jeon Heejin. Every single window through which Junghoon could squeeze himself out had been blocked by Jin, yet he had nothing worthy to present to Taehyung.
The only information that piqued Jin's interest was Junghoon's sudden visit to a cottage, situated outside the city limit a few days back. He kind of understood what that cottage might be used for. And hence he instructed Hoseok to scan the area and asked Yoongi to check for any landline phone availability or mobile phone signal other than Junghoon's phone, coming off from the cottage. Although the place was well guarded, Hoseok managed to sneak a bug into the cottage. Unfortunately, Junghoon didn't visit that cottage after they installed the bug and yet again, Jin ended up with nothing on Junghoon. Either Junghoon was too smart or Jin was missing something very crucial.
"Shit!!!", Jin punched the wall in frustration.
The atmosphere at the condo wasn't exactly favourable to Jin as well. Ever since he had a quarrel with Taehyung about Jimin and Jungkook, the tension between them had grown to such extreme lengths that Jin had been actively avoiding Taehyung for the past two days. They still met every evening in the living room to discuss about the progress in their plan, but Jin made sure to sit Jimin between them for safety reasons. It wasn't because he was angry or guilty, but he feared being alone with Taehyung more than he feared being alone with Junghoon.
Taehyung on the other hand seemed to respect the line that Jin had drawn between them, for he had not once tried to approach Jin like he did before, which again left Jin sad and miserable. Taehyung was still gentle and polite with Jin but it didn't feel intimate anymore. The one time that Jin almost burnt his hand with boiling water while making Tea because he was busy staring at Taehyung, had resulted in Taehyung rushing to him with the ice cubes. But he had stopped himself at the last moment and left Jin under the care of Jimin. The usual teasing and flirting were missing from Taehyung, and by the end of two days, it was clear like a crystal that Taehyung had withdrawn himself from Jin.
Jin would have easily ignored those nagging feelings if Taehyung had shown some interest towards the mission they were working on. But lately, Taehyung's attitude towards their target also was not as intense as they once were. He still listened to Jin attentively whenever he explained his next step in their plan, or he would listen to Junghoon's call recordings with Jin, of course with Jimin sitting in between them with an awkward smile on his face. But then again, he had that resting bitch face on all the time, which Jin was unable to decipher.
