Ganyu was taking a walk at Yuehai Pavilion, looking at the sunset. It had been about a week after Rex Lapis had passed, and she was still feeling a bit sad. She usually stayed at her office late, but today she had finished her work early, and Lady Ninguang had permitted her to leave work earlier. She stopped to gaze at the lights of Liyue Harbor, when she heard footsteps behind her. Ganyu turned around.
"Xiao?" Ganyu wondered aloud, "What are you doing here?"
Xiao immediately turned around, instinctively pulling out his polearm.
"Who's there?" he growled. Ganyu found his jade spear just an inch from her neck.
"Wahh!" she cried, stumbling back a few steps from shock.
"Oh, it's just you, Ganyu." he sighed, and put away his weapon. "What do you want?"
His voice sounded annoyed and impatient.
"Huh? Oh, uh, I just saw you walking by and I said hi, that's all." Ganyu replied, breathing a sigh of relief.
"Okay, but if you don't need anything, I should get going, I still have to take out some monster camps." Xiao said, rolling his eyes.
Humans these days, their lives must be so easygoing, he thought.
"Hm? Well okay, bye." Ganyu said, waving him goodbye. But she felt a twinge of sadness in her heart as he teleported away.
He's as moody as always...yet I do wish he had stayed a bit longer to talk, Ganyu thought, sighing, well it is getting late, I should head back home now.
With that, she walked back to her house.

This ship is a little underrated and we decided to write about it to make it not as small :)
Our first book was pretty good in our opinion but was a little too short and there wasn't a lot of action. Plus, Xiao was OOC, so we made this book to take things a little more slowly and have them bond over time. And we added more combat :)
